Lower back...

Everyone in my family has lowerback problems and im starting to feel it. Could deadlifts or any other lower back exercise help with this?

Yup, But you need to be extra careful. Use perfect form. Once it has muscle on it, then start going heavy, but still be careful.

Yes, it will prevent you from having a bad back in life. Never crack your back, only stretching is ok. Twist side to side and hold it, dont twist so much that it cracks, that makes it weak.

Goodmornings anf hyper extentions are really good. Same with deads and squats.

Heavy deadlifting and cleans with perfect form was how I got rid of my back pain. Perfect form is extremely important.

Thanks I was wondering if I could do anything

If it hurts dont do it until the pain is gone. If there is not pain, do it.

Of course you can train your lower back! Its the best thing you can do!

Just remember, its easy to hurrt it, especially for people with weak lowerbacks.

I absolutely require lower back work. I do SLDL on leg day for my ham warmup, and I finish my day with hyperextentions (dumbell).

Are the videos of pullingbig doing deads good form, which im betting they are, if so I will try to mimic that in the gym and I will start very light.

Before i ever started doing deadlifts, I had a very weak lower back. I remember going to Cedar Point (a huge amusement park) all day and after about 3-4 hours my back would feel like it was about ready to give out.

I just recently went to Cedar Point about 6 weeks ago and stayed there for 10 hours, never did my back start to ache. My feet got sore from the walking, but my back never ached one bit :).

The best way to deal with back problems is to prevent them from ever happening by keeping your back nice and strong.

Got a bad lower back?

If I dont train it, every 6-8 months or so I collapse on the ground in pain, mostly immobile. Sometimes its a couple minutes sometimes its several. I believe its a pinched nerve, from when a soccer coach kicked me in the lower back for tapping a ball "incorrectly," when I was 11.
