Right now I weigh 140 lbs and I'm 5'2. My goal is to loose 25-30 lbs by Mid-April. Is this possible to do in a semi healthy way? What is the minimum amount of cals I can eat while still toning and tightening? I'd really appreciate any advice?
3500cals = 1lb so if you're trying to lose about 2.5lbs a week, that's a bit of a stretch.
I'd say 2000cals a day is pretty OK(though you will not lose 2.5lbs a week), anything under that is a bit more like starving yourself so to say lol.
It takes 3,500 calories to equal one pound of body weight. Generally, dieters dump an average of 1,000 calories per day in an effort to lose 2 pounds of body fat per week.
Uh.. I have to disagree about the 2000 calories statement, considering that you are only 140 lbs AND a female, you'll definitely have to eat less than that. I would start at 1600 cals and go from there.
