More is better?

I'm a 49 year old been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 6 months. Pretty basic case I think, had low T (255) and high SHBG. After "fooling around" with compounded gel for a couple of months I got on Test Cyp 100 mg per week no Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and 250 HCG twice per week.
Results have been great and I tested at745 on the 5th day after injection and estradiol of 32. I feel really good most of the time these days but can't help wondering if I feel this good at this amount won't more be better. I have heard my doctor say he does not want to start people on more than 100 mg because he does not want to "spoil" them also I know most testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinics start guys at 200 mg per week " because that is where most guys feel best" I have been told. (I know they are in the money making business as well!)
I am interested in the additional body building effects as we'll as feeling even better. I have a source for additional testosterone (so I can stay good with my doctor) and Anastrazole as I think estradiol might be too high at a dose of 200 mg.
Any reason why I should not go through with my experiment on a higher dose /different protocol? Any health concerns I am not aware of? Would u expect to feel better at that dosage difference?

You may not feel so good taking an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). It makes me incredibly tired. If you have found your sweet spot why mess with it? If your T gets too high you are likely to need other medications to combat the undesired side-effects. And it isn't easy finding the right balance again. I get the temptation but be careful about getting greedy. That's my two cents.

I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for two years Im at 250mg per week feel great at that level but if 100mg is working for you stay there as long as u can then bump it up when your body becomes accustomed to that amount, talk to your doctor about it. If your looking for bodybuilding effects most people take a cycle for that. And at 49 your that is up to you! Personally I cruise on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 250 mg then do a cycle for about 14 to 16 weeks then back onto testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), dont have to worry about post cycle therapy (pct) since im on trt

More can cause other problems such as High estrogen, acne, balls shrinking etc. As 8Iron said you could run a cycle for 3 months and see how it goes, but that is usally 400-500mgs a week so 4-5times what you take now. Its kind of like drinking drink a fifth and yeah youll have fun but youll pay for it. I would stay 100 if thats whats great for you. If you are like me and had or have extra you may save it up and go from there.

I am glad I signed up for this forum. I think I am in the right place. I was diagnosed with the dreaded Hypogonadism back in Jan after feeling like shite for the last 2-3 years. My level was 311. My normal doctor put me on 200mg every two weeks. I quickly saw that wasn't going to be enough so I found a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic and he bumped me to 200 per week and I was still getting from the normal doctor also. Then I hooked up with a buddy I knew dabbled and got some Deca then some Sus then some oral Winstrol. All that is gone now...and I still have a nice supply of prescription Test. My next blood work is on 9-25. Should I lay off for a couple weeks or just drop back down to the 200mg a week and not worry about PCT?

Sorry to hijack your thread, wtgran, but I thought you might like to hear this too as we are in a similar boat.

8iron...what kind a cycle do you do?

Since you are on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) you are on for life so you don't need a pct to restart your natural system.

I know I feel good at 100 mg per week but how do I know I won't feel even better at 200? Have an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) on hand and HCG is in my protocol so those issues are covered. Maybe what I want is to do a cycle after all. I have the test available should I just do a 200mg twice per week cycle and give it a go? Then when the cycle is complete back down to my 100 mg per week?

I just kinda started doing more then 200 depending on what I had. 300 some weeks...up to 600 some weeks. I felt best on the 200 enanthate / 250 Sustanon a week taking 50mg Winstrol orally daily. Felt like a beast but after about 3 weeks into the Winstrol I just kinda plateaued. I had decided on 9-1 that I was going to drop back down to 200 per week but I actually dropped down early because I could tell it just wasn't working as well. From what I could tell from my limited experience is the more you take the more you get used to it. So I was thinking I would just lay off for a 2-3 weeks and then take a small amount...like 200 and see how I feel. What do ya'll think about that? I took 300mg cypionate last Sunday and 300mg cypionate last wed. I can tell it just aint working like it was. Probably another reason to lay off for a while and let it start working again...what do yall think?

Hi guys, let's remember that on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum we don't discuss AAS cycles. For AAS cycles and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) "blast and cruise" advise we go to the AAS forums on this same board.

As far as my opinion goes, 100mg plus 500iu's total which yields about 700 total T and 30 E is good enough! If I tried that same protocol my E would be almost double yours w/o an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I say keep it but if you decide to explore other options at least you know how to get back to your "sweet spot".

Yeah I didnt intend to make this a cycle discussion. Was more intended to be a discussion about experimenting with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dosages. To change my dose permanently though without getting my doctor on board would require some carefull juggling of 2 different suppliers and preparation for labs etc, probably not worth the trouble. will probably experiment a little but can always go right back to my current protocol with the same result can't I?

what kind of cycles people do while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is about a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) life style I dont think that is going to throw this testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum in a aas forum I know which forum belongs where just answering a question. Go police some other thread!

As long as your body remains the same, as far BF%, health, fitness, etc. you should be able to get back to your regular protocol and expect the same numbers.

It boils down to this, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is legal and used for medical purposes, AAS for the most part isn't. They are 2 completely different things. We have clinics and sponsors who offer advise in this forum for medical purposes.

As far as cycling being part of the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) lifestyle I have to disagree with you. The moment you start taking tren, deca and other anabolics you're no longer doing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) even though when you're done with your cycle you go back to a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol.

not all people that are on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are doing it legally, some insurance company are way behind the times and people are forced to use illegal test or they are uninsured.. It nice to think that everybody is legally on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but that just not the case! But you never know maybe the Obama health plan will cover everyone...NOT! But I understand your point about this my bad!!!
