I wanted to let you all know of my experience with "TRT". In 2004 I cycled once, I was 25. 10 weeks of Test E and some Deca for 3 weeks as well concurrent. I don't know why I got into it but regret it. I always had good energy to work out.
I was off the cycle for a year and felt as though my levels never were quite recovered and so I did blood tests and went to my family doc and he sent me to Endo and nothing came out of it as Endo said I was normal for testosterone. In 2005, I had 2 blood tests a few months apart. One test was Total T was 663 ng/dl and the other was 582 ng/dl.
The testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic I went to had me answer a questionnaire on my health and they said that my answers to these questions on their clinic test indicated I was suffering from low Testosterone.
I was put on HCG (350 i.u. 3 times a week) and Arimidex and told to stay on it...
My total test levels fluctuated from 721 ng/dl - 925 ng/dl
eventually a few years later HCG stopped working and this doc told me to go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) after my test levels were 520 ng/dlwhile being on this HCG treatment.
I was put on 160 mg of Test E per week going up to 180 mg/week.
This testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc tries to keep his patients at 865-900 ng/dl of Total Test from what he told me.
During this testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) treatment(2009) I did a sleep study and was diagnosed with very severe sleep apnea...
long story made short I decided to go off the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in june 2012 and just use the machine and see what I could recover in terms of natural Test.
I feel totally pissed. My family doc apologized to me 2 years ago from not diagnosing my sleep apnea for so many years. He just wanted to push pills as much as the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc wanted to push his testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol. Being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is not to be taken lightly, it thickens blood over the long term and you need to be monitored carefully.
I wonder if I will ever recover some reasonable T. being off everything for 5 months(In Jan 2013) I had Total T of 390 ng/dl and lowest Total T Test so far which was 3 months ago was 290 ng/dl. I started lifting again and hoping for the best. I was not training in gym while these tests were taken.
I do feel the CPAP machine has helped me and is what keeps me going at present. I'm sure if I had this machine with my previous 600 ng/dl of Total T at a younger age, I would not be in this mess.
I just feel like doctors jump the gun many times and don't have the total picture before they advise patients.
Not trusting anymore of them that's for sure.
what do you guys think.
