The ingredients:
Beta-Alanine - 3.5g
Betaine - 2.5g
Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate - 4g
Citrulline Malate - 4g
Creatine - 5g
This is my own mix. Took it with BCAA after lunch. Wanted to see/feel the effects as I worked and was planning some body weight exercises.
On my way to work the Beta-Alanine was the first thing I felt. I've used it before and actually like the feeling. After that as I was walking I got a bit dizzy (I walk a lot to get to work) At work, 1 hour 30 minutes later there was some feeling of dizziness. I almost don't want to say dizzy because I kept walking and talking like normal. Eventually everything normalized.
The 2 ingredients I've never used are the AAKG and Betaine. I'm guessing it was the AAKG but I'm hoping for more experienced advice. Perhaps a bad combo or dosage?
Beta-Alanine - 3.5g
Betaine - 2.5g
Creatine - 5g
These are the 3 I plan to take daily. So I'm hoping nothing has changed in me that makes me unable to tolerate them.
Opinions? Advice?
Goals are to maintain LBM while losing bf%
ETA after some reading:
I'd like to add that I currently take these 2 meds before bed:
Fluvoxamine (brand names: Floxyfral, Luvox, Fevarin)
Mirtazapine (brand names: Avanza, Axit, Mirtaz, Mirtazon, Remeron, Zispin)
Both are antidepressants. I was prescribed these meds about 10 years ago for anxiety attacks that were likely brought on by poor nutrition (hindsight is 20/20). I'm currently physically dependent on them and in the process of removing them slowly. I just read a little bit on the website about Arginine not being a good supplement to take with these types of meds. Was wondering if anyone has this experience or if this is old news? My prescribing doctor became tired of me asking "Does this affect my meds?" Whenever I started a new diet, routine, supps or other meds. He always says "No. Just be careful with alcohol."
