Need Advice About T Levels

Megatron, I'm actually kind of excited about how great everybody on trt says it feels. I've been kind of "blah" for so long, I just figured it was just me. I really appreciate your encouragement and support. My wife and I talked and she did some research on low t. She is now cracking the trt whip. :)

Hopefully your wife is standing over your shoulder and reading this with you.

Before I started TRT I was too tired to want to have sex with my wife. I was tired all the time. Once I got on TRT I started to feel alive again. After about 3 weeks I felt amazing. And I felt more amazing the following week and the following week. I couldn't believe it. My wife couldn't either because my libido was like it was when I was 17.

Tell your wife to prepare for what is coming her way. :-)

If I never lose an erection during sex again it will be too soon! Thanks Megatron! I may just let it surprise her. :)

What exactly does the Cialis do? Does it make you horny inside too or just straighten out your pull cord?

No, it doesn't really make it turn black (unless that happens to be your ethnicity).

It also happens to help with bp and that pesky prostate making you piss in the middle of the night if you happen to have a bout of bph. ;)

You will need to post a shorter vibrator as I am white as snow. Should I ask my doc for some?

I ordered mine from RUI (they are a site sponsor) $55 for a two month supply which is far cheaper than a script from the doctor. My buddy just got a script from his doctor, 6 5mg tabs for a months supply and it cost him $30 with a RX card. I take 10mg a day and mine will last 2 months.

Just got my free testosterone results. 57pg/ml (range: 46 - 224pg/ml). I don't know what that means overall, but at least that is within the normal range.

No, that's all my primary was willing to test for before I see the endo. I will be asking for that as well as an estradiol test. I'm learning as much as I can because I know that the VA is horrible about doing things without prompting and I'm afraid the VA endocrinologist will have very little experience with anything outside of diabetes. I also get frustrated that all of the VA doctors I've had, regardless of specialty, have a hard time with English. The communication barrier can get extremely aggravating.

From the little I have come to understand I think it is most likely that I have secondary hypogonadism. So I need to make sure we figure out why, before we decide what we're going to do about it. I had 5 road side bombs blow up on me in Iraq, so I may be looking at damage from that. So, MRI is definitely something I'm going to be pushing for too. I can't express how helpful this forum has been for me. All of you guys who give advice and wisdom have my most sincere gratitude. It's not nearly adequate, but it's all I've got right now. Once I get to the other end of this thing I'll try to pay it forward by helping someone in my position.

RUI? And they sell Cialis for $55 for 2 months?

Do you know if your LH/FSH were ever checked? That's really one of the only ways to know if you're primary/secondary as far as I know. It's best to get those levels measured BEFORE you start any therapy; otherwise you will not have accurate readings due to how the body responds to exogenous testosterone.

You totally have my sympathy when it comes to the VA. I have several family members that get to "enjoy" the quality of health care that comes with serving our country. I'd like to rant about that a bit more, but I think that could be an entirely new thread all on its own. ;)

Totally wish you the best of luck man. I know it's an uphill battle - but the end result is COMPLETELY worth it. :bigok: Oh, and in case I didn't say it earlier: Thank you for serving your country. I don't think you guys get enough recognition for the things you have been through.

My .02c :)

Thanks Halfwit. The military is kind of a family trade. I did have my LH/FSH checked.
LH 2.89 miu/ml
FSH 2.29 miu/ml

I'm afraid the endo is going to say that my low t is caused by being overweight and that I just need to lose weight. I've been working my ass off to lose weight for years, nearly starving myself at times. My craziest diet was 4 months of 600 pre day calorie restriction. I felt like a zombie and lost 55lbs....without losing 1% of body fat. The moment I switched to a healthier diet, I gained all of that back, and then some. But people tend to believe you're not trying, as that's the easiest and most likely reason.

I speak from experience here but the way you are dieting will not give you the results you desire. You need to eat to lose weight, look up 3J, he is a site sponsor as well as a moderator here and he is amazing. He is very affordable and will design a diet based on your stats and needs and work with you as you progress. I have lost 30 pounds in under three months and I am eating 3300 calories a day.

Thanks Spunkey71! That was just one of my most extreme diets. I have done many and even had a nutritionist design a diet for me. I am currently following Chris Powell's carb cycling. I do cardio 6x's a week and lift weights 5x's a week. I will definitely look up 3J once the holidays are past. I have 7 kids, so affordable during the holidays is $1.00. lol

Easy on the RUI stuff in this side of the forums guys. This section is intended for doctor prescribed meds only. We're free to talk about the wonders of research chems in the AAS section, but it's frowned upon here. ;)

As Spunkey said, that isn't a way to lose weight as you put your body into two things: Catabolism (you sacrifice muscle mass for energy), and Starvation mode (your body freaks out and retains as many calories as possible), which once you're done - puts you right back where you were, and possibly even worse.

You very well may be secondary given those values. Hopefully they don't blame obesity on this as low T can cause obesity and diabetes. I agree, an MRI is definitely warranted in this case. ;)

Yes Sir, they are a site sponsor, look for the ad at the top of the page with the red lion, it is a liquid form of Cialis, it is GTG!

Don't see anything called GTG....they have something called LIQUID CIA.....same thing?

Any idea what's in this stuff? Tadalafil?
