NEt Carbs

Prana

Went protein bar shopping. To fit my daily diet plan, I need a low carb and fat bar. The carb epidemic has become so complicated. The bars I finally bought have 18g's carb (1g net carb) and 1.5 g fat / bar

The 1 g carb will have affect on my insulin levels, and the others are just sugar alcohols which I do not count toward my carb intake?? And I know I count the cals that the carbs count for but just not sure about the carbs and if I should eat the bars in the evening after I have already trained earlier...

I'm not a big bar fan. I don't believe there is any room in a cutting diet for them cuz there's far too much crap in them.
I'd much rather you get your nutrients from whole foods or whey shakes. That's just my opinion though.:)

Yes they do count towards ur carb intake because at the end of the day they are calories

Bars are loaded with Crap Prana
I'm not a fan of them either
most of the proteinin them is not good and not digestible and forget about label claims!

I posted some long stuff about net carbs somewhere here before

Muay Thai Guy, what a great article!! So the sugar alcohols actually dont spike the insulin AS MUCH AS glucose however it is still running through the blood.. I am wondering what happens to the "non impact carbs" after absorption? I mean the digestion process? are the sugar alcohols stored in the liver then just like glucose? Does the liver have to detoxifiy them first? I want to know exactly how these "non impact carbs" are digested step by step! Im so interested in this scam!!

Anyways, this is my favorite quote from the article":

"Hard core gym-goers are the ultimate in craziness; they read and
study muscle magazines as if the information they
contain is the Holy Grail. They spend hours every day
micro-managing their diets and workout routines, trying
anything to add an extra pound of muscle"

FINALLY, someone understands!! ha ha

Thanks again, that should be a sticky IMO;)
