Support the troops!!!
Hey guys, Let me give you guys a quick bio of myself. I am 29yrs 6' 240. I have been working out now for about 12 years off and on. I did the majority of my lifting when I was in the military. I also did a few cycles, mostly Winstrol (winny) and clen, nothing big. I did get some good size while in the military. When I got out 6 years ago I was 215# and about 10%bf. I am now 240 and like 25%bf. I am starting to get back into the swing of things and I am looking for a new regimen. I am able to work out Sat, Sun mornings and Tue,Wed, so I can get 4 days in a week. Can you guys give me some advise on routines, OTC sup's, gear (Im willing to get back on something, I just don't know what, and were to obtain, lost my source years ago) I have a big solid frame, just a little too much fat for my liking, I would like to get back to what I was about 215-220 solid.

Thanks guys in advance

Besides those 4 days is there any way for you to do cardio the other 3?

Whats your diet look like? If you have one.(Not trying to sound like a dick there)

The other three days might be a little tough to do cardio but I might be able to work something out. As for the diet, it's not bad. I eat throughout the day, breakfast for sure. I do not eat fast food, but I also am not the most strict either. I know there is room for improvement in the diet area.

Ok, well 4 days a week is def. doable.

If you want to lose the weight your going to have to get in cardio and your going to have to clean up the diet.

I don't like doing cardio after I lift so this is just me.

If your able to then it would work nicely if you could do an hr of cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach on the 4 days you can lift. If you can make it back to the gym later in the day that's how I would go about it.

I would go:

Saturday-Legs
Sunday-Shoulders
Monday-Off
Tuesday-Chest/Tri
Wed.-Back/Bi
Thursday-Off
Friday-Off

There's no core or ab day in there so I might think about adding it in on Shoulder Day.

As for the diet, no fast food is great.
I would cut out all soda and anything else with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Reason being it is in soda, breads, juices...a lot of different products, but your brain doesn't register it as sugar. Thats why when you drink soda you can just keep drinking and drinking and still want more, your brain doesnt register you as having any more sugar in your body, so you can add HUGE amounts to your storage for fat. Don't eat any carbs after 6 p.m. if you dont have to. Assuming that you work during the day, it obviously going to be different if you do.

Your 240? You probably eat a lot and need a lot to feel full(no offense). If you eat foods high in fiber it will allow you to feel full for a longer period of time.

I would pick up some fish oil and flax seed oil. They add important fatty acids into your diet and can help in fat loss among other things.

I know this is a huge post so I apologize for that. I could say more but for now the last thing Ill add is that muscle burns more calories and fat quicker than fat does.

Don't just do cardio to lose the fat and then try to build muscle. If you build muscle, as well as incorporate cardio into your routine you should be pleased with your results as long as diet, rest and dedication are all where they should be.

Good luck.

Thanks A lot. I like that lift split. Also, I might have to do cardio after I lift, It's just the amount of time I have. You are right about the way I eat and how hungry I am, and no offense taken, It does take a lot for me to feel full, but I will take your advise. Like I said before, I have great size and some great muscle under this fat, I know with hard work and dedication, I can get back to where I want to be. Any particular AAS cycles you might recommend?

I actually have never done a cycle, Im on here reading up and trying to learn so I'm going to have to leave that up to the other more experienced guys, but stick around and ask questions Im sure in no time your going to get some great advice.

And cardio after you lift is fine too, thats a great time to do it because your body has used up most of its energy, just doesnt work for me.

Good luck tho.

wait til the point where you're happy and ready to bulk again, thats a good time to start AAS

That's fine and understandable. Though I have heard on the forums that for the first cycle, it should be a single aas rather than stacking a few at one time. If so, which aas is a good one to start with?

most will say Test enanthate, and i'm on board with that. 500mg a week....you can check it out on the steroid profiles at the top of the page. surely not an option until you've learned everything there is about it. so you know what to look for and how your body will react. this is why most people will tell you to use compound for the first cycle.

I have seen a lot of people like Test e for the rooks first time but for me I think the sides are a little too harsh. I am in the sales field and I do not feel comfortable having bad acne and such sides. I was looking at Deca Dur, sides are mild but not as great gains. Deca is said to be great over a longer cycle, like 8-12 weeks. Or Equipoise (sp?) What do you think? I am not necessarily looking for huge bulking gains but more weight loss and definition, with mass gain.

first of all, thank you for your service. second of all, welcome to the board, you will find some of the most knowledgeable, free information here. With your size and history, I would honestly recommend a trainer and some HIT before I recommended AAS. Good luck and keep us updated. We have a forum for user online journals. I recommend you use it as possible as journals have been proven to increase compliancy with goal setting. Good luck!
