Hey all, just registered after another user said there were some fairly smart people on here that could give some good info as well as hopefully some ideas on what to try. Currently I am in the starting process of working with "Total Rejuventation Clinic". I've had a doctor, and friend, who has been treating my low energy which turned out, at least partially, to be enhanced by extremely low testosterone levels. This doctor is a friend but I've been questioning his 'diagnosis' for quite some time. The testosterone supplentation has helped but I'm still extremely fatigued, gaining weight and low drive to do much of anything, including sex drive. For a few years he has been telling me I would benefit from HGH supplements as well as HCG. Even though he's said this several times he never tells me how to get the HGH/HCG. He has had me doing decadurbolin injections for several years as well, at least until the past month when the pharmacy I order it from suddenly is having problems acquiring the "main ingredient" needed. I called him several times asking how to get the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) as well as asking for an alternative to get the deca. He has always seemed secretive about the deca treatment telling me not to tell any of my other medical providers because they "won't understand" why I need it. As with the testosterone, the deca definitely gives me more energy and since I've not had it for over a month now, my energy levels have gotten MUCH worse. I had asked several times about cycling the deca and if that is needed and he said my dosage wasn't high enough to be concerned with that. He had me taking 300mg injection of the deca once a week. The testosterone has changed several times. The lastest dosage he's had me on is 100mg injection twice a week. I'm not squeemish about most injections but have problems doing IM injections on myself which is required with both the deca and testosterone. I have a friend giving me my injections once a week and, after checking with my friend/dr instead of 100mg twice a week, have been doing 150mg once a week. Before these injections he had me taking an oral form of testosterone. My friend who gives me the injections is also on testosterone supplementation, from the same dr. We were both on the oral form and when my primary care physician did routine blood work and found my testosterone levels extremely low (he did know about the oral testosterone, just not the deca) we questioned just exactly what I was taking. My buddy who also was taking the oral form had his blood work done and got his results just after me. His was also extremely low. Immediately our dr/friend put us back on the injections. My levels have increased greatly but I'm still having huge problems with energy, abdominal fat (despite a good diet and working out with a trainer) as well as many other symptoms which go along with low testosterone (thinning hair, sleeping problems, erections, etc). In desperation I contacted the Total Rejuvenation Clinic and although I haven't officially started treatment, I have been very pleased with communication and information I'm receiving from the clinic so far. One of the first things the clinic asked was if I was taking an estrogen blocker. I'm not and they asked how long I was taking the testosterone injections, which has been years. They sent me for blood work which they require before starting treatment and in the meantime, my other dr/friend who has been handling (or supposed to be handling) the hormone replacement suddenly could get the HCG. I went to pick some up and while getting the "HCG" noticed the last bloodwork results in my file. I asked if I could get a copy and when they gave it to me I was shocked to see my estradiol levels were way over the upper 'norms'. My friend/dr was supposed to call me with the results but obviously didn't. He came out from his exam room, spoke to me and I asked if I should be on a estrogen blocker. He asked why I thought that and I pointed to the lab results. He obviously never reviewed it and immediately said I should and wrote a script for Amaryl which he wants me to take 1/2 tablet with each testosterone injection. The fact that he obviously didn't look at the results and wasn't planning on looking, just make my suspicions on his quality of care even more doubtful. I faxed these results to Total Rejuvenation clinic who immediately called me back not only stating the obvious about the estradiol but also questioning the hematocrit/hemoblogin and other levels which were also high and according to them, put me at a high risk for stroke. This is alread much longer than I planned. i could go on and on but am hoping someone can give me a little insight on what to do. Has anyone worked with Total Rejuvenation Clinic before? Heard anything about them, good or bad? I don't think they can do any worse than what my current hormone replacement doctor is doing (or not doing). I'm an optometrist so know a little medically speaking but definitely not enough to know exactly what to do. That is the job of the medical providers I have. So far, I feel like I'm having to keep up with the information they are supposed to be following. I know from my standpoint, I definitely try to follow up on any tests I order for a patient and if the patient has questions, get back to them asap. I've questioned the use of deca over the last several years. I definitely can tell a difference when using it but when I'm told not to tell other healthcare providers about it because they 'wont understand' that just doesn't seem very ethical. I've done that and not said anything, until I started the process with the Total Rejuventaion clinic. I've been concerned also because of other medical issues which have popped up over the last 8-9 months (small brain aneurysm, several osteochondromas on my right leg, bladder issues which mainly include no innervation getting to my bladder so apparently I've been using my ab muscles to squeeze and empty my bladder, etc). All this suddenly coming up makes my physicans, urologist, neurosurgeon and even my chiropractor suspect possibly a stroke or MS diagnosis. I'm being referred to a neurologist but they keep canceling and rescheduling my appointment which is also adding to the frustration and stress, which in turn just makes the possiblity of a full blown stroke even more worrisome. I need some answers and have been waiting too many months. If hormone replacement, the right hormone replacement, would help I need to start now before depression and stress gets even worse than it already has gotten. Sorry for the long, long post. I'm just very desperate for an answer and hope being on this forum will help. Any kind of help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Also, the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) the 'dr' gave me is apparently part of some diet craze thing going around as well. The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) only cost $100 and is a sublingual form. From what I've read online, true Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is usually an injection althought there are oral forms available, and more expensive. The diet consist of only about 500-600 calories a day. How would you know if its the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) working or the extreme low caloric intake? Seems like anyone who could stick to a 500 calorie diet would lose weight whether they have real Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) or not. Any insights?
