Good afternoon everybody! Ok, so I'm starting to lay out my plan for my first test cypionate cycle. I have been following Westside Barbell methods for over a year now and started doing strongman training on top of that about 6 months ago. Ive been training for about 3 years. So, I want to know from my other strongman/powerlifting peers what what would be a good cycle plan to follow. I keep seeing all these threads about how your body fat needs to be bellow 16%. I know that doesn't always have to be the case because many strongman/powerlifters are well over that and they seem just fine. I mean look at Louie Simmons who started Westside Barbell. He has admitted to taking steroids for over 30 something years and he says he has never come off of them lol. I'm just trying to find the best way to achieve my goals in the safest way possible. Any and all help/advice is greatly appreciate!!!

Can't go wrong w/ Westside training. But before i embark on Westside i would take myself to the limit everytime you hit the gym. 3 times a week should be good enough. Employ a local partner to help if you can. Cause once you start Louis training you are going to be feeling it.
Do your 5x5 and 3x3, good mornings, lots of squats and use your 2x4 when benching along w chains.
The reason why u see those guys looking so good is cause so they're so damn huge everywhere else. When i did it i looked good at 256 but my bf was at 24-28% sometimes. People never.noticed, or dodn't say anythimg cause i obviously.took care of myself.
Good Luck

I agree, but maybe that's because I'm someone who has never been very lean or genetically gifted. I've been above 20% probably for the last 8yrs. I've done a couple cycles during that time and never even had a hint of gyno. I hit 280lbs both times, I was'nt lean, but no one would have said I was fat either.

Yeah I've been following westside for a decent amount of time and have studied the westside book. I'm actually going to be getting my westside cert in the next year. Thanx for the input fellas I really appreciate it. Glad to get some input from some of other heftier brethren lol.

I did competitive powerlifting for years, and set a few records. I was clean until about 35 years old. The strength increase over the next 5 years with AAS use was incredible, literally 50% increase in my total lifts. Was benching about 400lbs at 190lbs body weight. Before AAS my best was 315lbs for a single rep on the bench. Have tried most cycles and formulations to get the most strength possible. Have 2 recommendations. First is that it probably takes about 5 years of hard cycling on test (base) and other stuff to reach your full potential. Then, Tren (injectable) and orals worked best for me for strength increase. Was doing cycles of about 500-600 mg of tren a week (acetate or enanthate) and about 75-100 mg of anadrol or anavar a day. Seemed to be the best combo (with 600-800 mg of test a week). Good luck, and be patient, takes a few years of "supplements" to reach your full "Louie Simmons" potential!!!

Hey thanks for the reply to my thread man I really appreciate it. When you were on anavar. Did you notice any significant fat lose? I currently fluctuate between 194 and 200 lbs depending on my carb intake and I'm guessing around 15-18% bf. I really want to stay below 200 lbs so that's why I ask. Any advice about I greatly appreciate. Thanks Moppy1!!!

Anavar is one of my favorites, and I definitely notice some fat loss on it. I usually do a long 12 week cycle of anavar at about 75-100mg per day. Definitely helps keep me lean...
