New to steroidology and TRT

First of all, I would like to say hat I'm really excited to be a member of this forum. There seems to be a lot of really good info here. I'm excited to learn from you all.

I was recently diagnoses with low T. I've had three tests done in the past few years. The 1st came back at 250, 2nd was 350, and the 3rd was 240. I stated testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) August 1, 2012. As it stands now my doctor wants to try 400mg of testosterone cypionate every 2 weeks.

Some background info
I am a 25yr old accountant who is quite overweight at the moment. (I'm working on it!). I lift 4-5 times a week followed by 20 minutes of cardio and do an hour of cardio on the days that I don't lift.

In high school I played football and wrestled. Senior year I became enamored with lifting. That same year I did a cycle of QV winstrol. Later that year I did a cycle of syd group deca and winstrol. I loved the way that shit made me feel. It really was awesome. Though In retrospect I know that I wasn't even close to being ready to experiment with AS.

then came college. a daily pot smoker and drinker I really packed on the pounds. At one point I weighed 285! After decing to get my act together I moved back home with my folks and proceeded to lose 100lbs in 18 months. I have never felt better. Although I had lost so much weight through weight training and long distance jogging, I was never really cut up at all. I was kind of skinny fat to be honest. This led me to question my testosterone levels and start getting tested whenever I got a physical.

A couple surgeries and years later (one for a torn labrum the other for pilonidal cyst). I have put back on half of the weight that I lost. It Also doesnt help That i was a habitual pot smoker (I was part of the Cali medical game for far too long). This being said I quit smoking 4 months ago and I've been getting back into the fitness game with a vengeance.

I guess my question in all this is should I expect my gains and fat loss to come at an increased rate with the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) now in the picture? I've never used Test before so I'm really not sure what to expect. The only thing that I've felt so far is being really hot and increased sweating

Thanks for reading

Thanks for your input.

I was considering asking the doctor to allow me to fill my scripts and administer myself so I can go weekly thus keeping my levels more balanced. I will also avoid paying a copay for each injection.

As far as the dosage is concerned. The doctor mentioned that since I'm young he wanted to see if he could jump-start my natural production with a 12 week cycle followed by bloodwork on week 14. He said that this way i may not have to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for life. This didn't make much sense to me considering that everything I've read states that natural production will recover slowly following a cycle of test.

How many mg do you think would be appropriate for someone my age?

Also keep in mind that The testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is being administered by my general physician, not an specialist...

ive heard of quite a few docs going with this jump start method and I know there are a lot against it but it was something I was going to inquire about as well. Not so sure its going to work but to me its worth a shot and being 29 prefer not to be on this rest of my life.

really 400 is alot every two weeks. really you are probably going to feel like a monster for 5-8 days and that last 5-8 days going to feel horrible. really you should be doing weekly and start 100 every 7 days.

Personally I have been on it all patches, Test E, Gel and THANK GOD as of yesterday back on injections of TEST C 100mg every 6 days. I found out 6 days was better than 7. I think youll find that most people do weekly are within the 100-150mg a week.

Based on your post it sounds as if testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is the answer you're looking for to treat poor athletic performance. Are there any other issues you're having that you think may be associated with low T?

At 25 with a history of good athletic performance during your school years does not normally translate to someone who's having problems with T production at least under normal circumstances. DET-OAK posted some days ago an interesting "vicious" cycle based on fat, T and E. You may want to search his username and his recent posts for the total explanation.

It would also be helpful if you post your lab results with ranges that include more than just T.
