Niacin for cholesterol support

Hey guys,

Do any of you use Niacin for on cycle support? Has it had a positive effect while blasting? (raising HDL, lowering LDL/or keeping it range)

Or is it only effective OFF cycle?

From what I've read thus far, the time release Niacin lacks in benefits, and the regular immediate release works best for positive cholesterol changes. Is that correct information?

Thanks

Hmm. A while back my doctor recommended flush free Niacin to help with my low HDL's. Of course, I came right onto the forum and posted about whether it was actually a good idea or not.

I vaguely remember Megatron explaining that Niacin just makes the bloodwork's look nice.. might bring the values up on paper, but based on his research, med docs, etc.. it has no real health benefit in Cholesterol's regards. Like, it doesn't make you at any less of a risk for heart disease essentially. Not to mention, I think he also mentioned that at a dose needed for this, even the flush free will often time cause entire body flushing and can be painful.

Hopefully he chimes in on this a bit and clears up anything I'm not completely sure about. :)

Flush free niacin doesnt work for cholesterol.

Niacin is hard on the liver so be careful. The flush is awful but you can get a time release version. Due some research, Cholesterol is not the problem. High C-reactive protein, high triglycerides are the primary cause of hardening of the arteries. Statins are the most profitable drug ever invented. The drug companies keep lowering the recommended level for Cholesterol. They are now recommending 180 or lower. They want the whole world on statins. Recent studies have shown that people with higher cholesterol live longer. Cholesterol is the mother hormone from which all others are made. It all natural. Statins are not.

But let's not kid ourselves. The kind of lipid values coming back from AAS use in some of us is dangerous. Maybe not short term, but there's a lot of information pointing towards serious health issues in later years. It's good practice to find the best way to keep us healthy (if possible)

LDL's are the ones that can be taken care of, to maybe out weigh the HDL's problems a bit. Using steroids will just obliterate your HDL values, typically in a permanent fashion.

Really the best On-Cycle Cholesterol support is to just eat healthy and exercise regularly. Challenge the cardiovascular system. Get plenty of rest. This will keep your LDL's in check at the least.. MAYBE help with HDL's, but unlikely to any extreme degree.

As far as supplementation for it.. I never got around to using anything for it. Just accepted the low HDL values..

Can you elaborate on that a bit? I wasn't aware that HDL damage was permanent.

My good cholesterol is a little low but i dont think i can do much while on tren i been taking fish oil but havent checked blood in a couple months

This is just a single study, but it paints a decent picture. I guess I shouldn't say, "permanent".. who knows right?

The study concludes that the changes made to your lipids during cycle takes a good deal of time to actually normalize again.

So maybe it's a little exaggeration to say permanent, but it does state that not only does it take longer to recover your normal values, but it can also be determined by how long you've been "on" for.

I would have to guess it'd also depend on what drugs you were taking also. But, I'm no scientist! Lol

my ldl/hdl ratio s were skewed when I was a 18 yr old soccer star from Germany kicking these redneck s ass. It s a gentic defect...always s has been not even close. mY GP HAD ME ON NIACIN OMEGA 3 AND B 12 AND NOTHING CHANGED...AT ALL.
Before during and after a cycle blast or cruise my total cholesterol is rarely over 170 with 176 being the worste EVER. I had bad chest pain s a long time ago and a cardiac specialist ran a scope up my groin and showed me that after 43 yr s of cig s, very extreme adrenalized job, deep water diver etc.....and a 6 year cycle from age 22-28...I m 92 percent free of any type of pLacgue, any restricted blood flow etc.

The chest pain-----------gf moved my kid 1147 miles away..then called.

I think we can assist our bodies with liver support when we pound it with orals or booze. (I ve not drank in 15 yrs as alcohols useless,) My oral intake is rare and short though I miss my d bol. I think omega 3 s and other s are helpful too as are others but I m a firm believer in a balanced diet, heavy cal s to bulk, enough to maintain and less to get lean and regular exercising BESIDES resistant training and unless your looking to be f k n H U G E which has it s own challenges on joints, heart and lungs...AND AAS DOSES..should be sufficient to keep blood values in range or easy to get in range usually by.....lowering your aas dose. There I said it.

I bought a push mower for those day s I have time to do it...not only looks better but I breathe deep, my heart rate break s 120 and stay s there. I park as far away from a mall or wal mart as I can as I like walking and do not like some fuck dinging my car. I take stairs......

Sorry...I m a fitness fag looking ex meathead making excuses huh ? ( I got a 9 yr old to watch graduate COLLEGE FELLA S)

:-)
