Ok, Talk me out of it

I know I'm going to get flamed by you guys on here for this, but I've been reading stuff on here for a while and I need you to give it to me good here!

I'm 6'3" 170 pounds, and recently turned 34. I have worked out off and on for the past year and a half. I've done some heavy lifting, and have completed over 140 days of P90X this year (2009). I've seen some weight gains, muscle toning, and other things, but I just can't seem to put on the weight I want. I eat a lot, but just can't seem to put on the mass. I wish I had more time, but I just don't have the time to go to the gym 4-5 days a week.

So here is what I'm wanting to do. I'm wanting to start of cycle of anavar. I really want to see what I look like at around 190-200 pounds.

Am I going to regret this? I really respect the opinions of many on this board and have enjoyed your advice (even though I don't post often on here).
 
why do you want to use gear ?

I'm trying to put on some mass. I'd like to be over 200 pounds and keep my 6% bf.

I know I could train harder, and eat better, but I just don't have the time. I'm now at an age where I want to really pump up one time and I don't want to use dbol, because I think I would look foolish gaining too much weight, and it would probably hurt me in the long run.
 
I dunno if 'regret' would be the ideal term. You're a 34 year old adult capable of making decisions and living with the results/consequences of those decisions.

I would recommend establishing a solid foundation naturally. Once you came close to or reached your genetic limit, you could then decide whether or not you wanted to venture into the world of performance enhancing drugs.

Admittedly, you have worked out 'off and on' during the past year. This suggests that you haven't totally disciplined yourself to commit to a program for a significant amount of time. This leads me to believe that you may not have your diet in line either. 6'3" 170 is extremely light. There's no doubt in my mind you can add atleast another 20lbs without any aids (well maybe food/calorie increases).

Plus, anavar is one of the more benign steroids. Don't get me wrong, it does have its place and is one of my favorite compounds. However, when it does come time to choose a steroid, there will be better options for someone in your situation.

You are definitely right about my workout not being disciplined. Unfortunately, with my job, it is difficult to be disciplined on my diet and workout routine. I've taken in a TON of calories through weight gainers and such, but I've never been able to go past the 180 mark in my weight. Dbol is cheaper, but I'm scarred of its side effects. Anavar seemed to be the lesser evil, and seems to give me more of a nature weight gain that I want.

The biggest part of my problem is that I'm really active. I'm in great shape, but burn a lot of calories, which I think keeps me from seeing any real gains in my weight. It also makes me tired when I do lift weights.

Overall, I don't want to do something harmful to my body that is going to keep me from being active. I can live with my body the way it is, but I REALLY want to see what I would look like at 200 or more pounds with my current BF % (i.e. less than 10% would be great)
 
test enanthate 10 weeks. 500mg/week.

pct clomid 10 to 14 days after the last jab. 50mg/day for 18 days. you will be OK.right?

testosterone is the basis of 99% of all cycles.

easy, safe, and give always result.

One thing. gains and diet are straitly working together. no diet, no gains.

Doing a cycle would do you a world of good if at the very least you were working out on a regular basis(4 time a week). Running test and not working out will leave you with a lot of extra aggressions, you will need to blow off that aggression at the gym. You will be wasting your money if you do a cycle and miss workouts.

I understand what it is like to be busy but you need to make a decision to work out and make it a lifestyle!!! You will have plenty of time to sit on the sideline of life and watch the young people grow but you will never be 34 again. make the most of it and commit. Running a cycle is a big commitment IMO and not to be taken lightly. I work out regularly with or without juice but while on cycle my workout comes first. sometimes I get up at 4am to make sure I get in my workout while on a cycle. once again get of the sidelines and make the commitment or don't cycle. If you have 2 days off like everyone else then you only need 2 days during the work week to hit the gym.

Also when I ran my first cycle I ran Sust 250 one shot a week, I made great gains and had no sides. Sust is a all around steroid that will put on some good quality muscle. Running 500mg for your first cycle will be to much IMO. Especially if you don't want to get way big. You will realize the most gains on your first cycle. One last thing make sure you have all your post cycle therapy (pct) in hand before you start a cycle. some times things take longer than expected getting to your house and you don't want to be unprepared.

As long as you are will to commite I say go for it. you will get totally ripped because your thin to begin with.:beertoast

Thinkin about it, Test-e @ 500mgs a week for 10-12 weeks will do U some good, as long as diet, training, and rest is executed properly.
 
you can gain fine with 3 days a week at the gym, you just have to train with heavy compound exercises so that you are working more than just one body part per workout. You need look into HIT, 5 x 5, or Dogg Crapp exercise training. P90X is great for overall toning and conditioning but it is not a program for mass. You need to get your diet/training figured out, while you research and figure out exactly why Kane Red Machine's recommendation is the best 1st cycle. Good luck.

Appreciate the advice. I could do better with my gym time no doubt. Right now I'm working about 65-70 hours a week, and to be honest, I just don't have much energy left for the gym. Plus I don't really want to give up the little social life I have left. Leaves me just a little time each day for a good workout.

Sustanon huh? Does it come oral? I don't think I want to do needles. I've never done them before, and am not sure I want to start now. I've got a roommate that would help me with it if that is all that is available. One shot wouldn't be that bad if I had to. Do you think it would be better than anavar?

What post cycle therapy (pct) supplements do you recommend? (I thought post cycle therapy (pct) stood for post cycle therapy...I'm a newbie so forgive me if I'm wrong)

I really want to dedicate from now till Christmas in my workout (obviously after as well, but I want to see some big gains by then). I want to cross 200 pounds!

Thanks! I'll look those up! I'd LOVE to find a new exercise training program! Especially if it is a good one!

Its an injectable only:( I have never run anavar but in any cycle you need Test! Sust 250 has 4 dif types of test. It is a great starting point and later when you get a few cycles under your belt you can add orals like anavar.

For post cycle therapy (pct) clomid. If you run Sust you will start post cycle therapy (pct) (post cycle therapy) 3 weeks after your last shot. If you run a longer cycle than 10 weeks then I would run HCG throughout your cycle.

You have done your home work. But your not ready. Your body isn't tuned to take advantage of the gear. You don't have the time to eat as often as you need to. You need to train for another year at least. p90x are you joking. Learn how to do isolation training and use the P90x as your cross training. You need to learn to eat to grow. if you Take gear now it will be a waste. You won't grow enough and you won't keep it.

Sorry to be negative. on the positive your probably in good shape and have a good starting point to learn how to body build now.

I'm starting to second guess myself. I'm leaving work now (12:15 a.m. ET), just so I can get up tomorrow at 8 am. At least I got a p90 workout done at work when I had time. I really wish I could hit the gym more often! ugh!

Dread was definitely right. Its alright, keep hittn that p-90 thing. Not being a smartass, being serious. At least ur doing something, its not the end of the world if U cant.
