i recently stopped doing all muscle groups but once a week and giving plenty of recovery time, i dont even train my arms hardly at all any more, maybe a little on leg days for one of those pumps that makes you feel stoned as hell driving home from the gym, anyway i used to overtrain, and i mean a shitload! and on cycle too! bad shit! take a week off and reduce volume of workouts and listen to these guys and let the gains start!

Yeah man, I agree. I don't really do any isolated shit anymore, only once in a while. Compound lifts rock. Food and rest are just as important as lifting.

It took me years to realize this, I thought the more I trained the bigger I would get, boy was I wrong. I could not gain an additional ounce no matter how hard I tried. Once I stopped overtraining, I literally blew up like a balloon and my strength in the gym increased exponentially.

i just want to add that less is definitely best i have made incredible gains in strenght and muscle mass due to less volume so listen to the mods and vets they know what up

i just quit doing alot of isolation. i dropped a ton of exercises and ONLY do the basics now. i follow a routine very similar to pullinbig's on the deadlift sticky. i dropped triceps machines and now only do 1 free weight exercise for them and do straight-bar curls for bis after rows for a few heavy sets.
