PLEASE HELP...clomatid, doc said.

i need some help. i have a previous thread about going on toTRT. i picked up my bottle of test cyp a few days ago. i have not inject yet. next dose is friday. the doc calls me today and told me to go on CLOMID. and not use test cyp. he wants me to go on clomatid for 3 months. i'm confused. clomatid is a SERM, correct? from what i read it is used for post cycle therapy (pct). can someone shed some light on this. thanks everyone.

I actually saw an endo today for the first time who also wanted me to go on clomid because of my age and because everything else besides my Total T seemed fine to her and even then my Total T of 266 (250-1100) was at the bottom of the "normal" range per her words. She suggested clomid because it's supposed to estimulate the increase of testosterone production within your body. The protocol would have been between 3 to 6 months while of course not doing any sort of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) during that time frame. We discussed it over and I decided not to go for it, instead she wants me to use a gel. Now I gotta play the game for a bit so I can eventually convince her I am better off with Test C. If that fails I guess I can always go back to my PCP.

Clomid is basically "robbing Peter to pay Paul"...it isn't a permanent solution for low T.

You should ask your doctor to remburse you for the cost of the Test cyp! He won't, of course, but you'd hopefully get your point across, unless he's a complete moron. He wants you to try a restart. It might be worth a try if you can avoid injecting Test for the rest of your life. But, keep your Test in case you need to use it afterwards.
