I'm a newbie to weight training. About a year ago I stumbled upon the t-mag site and continued to read every article they have. I thought it was great stuff, miles ahead of the average gym rat. Then I tried to post something on their forum and realized that it is HEAVILY moderated. This leads me to believe that their information may be very biased and/or false. Plus, I hate their forum setup anyways. Obviously they are run by Biotest, but their staff still seems to have their act together on all topics- nutrition, training, etc.

Anyways, I started searching more on the net and found bodybuilding.com. They have lots of articles, but a lot of their information seems to be false, like it was writted by someone that hadn't actually done much research.
One thing that comes to mind is that in several of the diet articles, authors suggested the use of PAM or "I can't believe it's not Butter" spray for cooking because they contain 0 calories. I've read many times before that the whole 0 cal thing is just a marketing ploy because the serving size is so small that there isn't enough fat for them to legally have to put it on the label. This might be a small mistake to some, but to me it makes them all look like idiots.

So then, I found hardgainer.com. They seem like ok, common sense guys. The only problem is that they seem to think you should only work out twice a week at most. I think the reason for this is because they also don't take diet seriously enough, therefore they need longer recovery times. In general, they're good, but far from "hard core".

Anyways, so then I found this site. This is a HUGE forum, which I love. I'm really not into the whole steroid thing, but that's because I haven't been training very long at all and I shouldn't be into steroids. I did a couple searches about t-mag on here and although there are some bashers, especially against TC Luoma, people seem to have atleast a little respect for them.

I guess my main question is what do all of you think about these sites? Is their info credible?(especially interested in t-mag's since I've spent so much of my time on it)

Is there a site better than this one for a beginner?
Is there other good info on the net I should check out?

I posted it in this forum cause I thought it would get the most replies here, I hope I'm correct.

as far as hardgainer.com they just believe that most of the time spent should be spent recovering and not in the gym which they believe can lead to less recovery which is a good theory it doesnt make them less "hard core" or hard core for that matter
As far as working out twice a week i have seen guys get great results from that as well as 5x a week not everyone has to workout everyday and to say that they dont take diet seriously i think is a joke ask any bodybuilder / nutrition is just as important as working out if not more
imo
as far as a site every site is different and has different opinions as to what to do so the best thing to do is do your research and check things out or just stay here :)
