Possible TRT, High estrogen. Docs say this is normal.

Currently 20 years old, just got some blood work in. Testosterone came in at 338ng/dl and estrogen came back at 98 pg/ml. This blood was taken in the evening while carb depleted on a cut. The doctors say this is in the normal range, but obviously that is bullshit.

Im not crying for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as i dont have any bad symptoms and have absolutely no problem building muscle. But id like to get my estrogen under control due to what i have expereinced on my cut.

I carry all of my fat around my lower ab/back area and lower chest/armpit area. I have post-pubertal gyno that fluctuates in size, and i think it is related to estrogen levels throughout the day. The fat i carry around my waist and lower chest is very different from the other fat on my body. The "other" fat is hard and obviously isnt filled with water, where the lower pec and lower ab/back is very soft, jiggly, watery fat.

There have been some days where i could be so carb and water depleted that i can actually see lower abs, so this "fat" is 100% water retention and i believe it is directly related to my estrogen levels.

So let me ask you guys this.. The doctors say that these levels and symptoms are normal and they wont do anything about it. It is obvious that they are not normal.... Not only does this cause fat retention, but it also raises the risk of blood clotting, heart failure, stroke, and prostate cancer. All of these run in my dads side of the family, so id like to stay as healthy as possible. What would be the best option? Should i see how research chemicals work on my rats?

"Testosterone came in at 338ng/dl and estrogen came back at 98 pg/ml."
the test is low although that is not ur "Free" Testosterone levels - Doc's rarely test that which is the more important #.

The best Test to Estro ratio is 50-1 - (Although your estro was measured in picograms per ml vs Test which is in nanograms per deciliter)

+ @ ur age u should be more like 600-900ng/dl

if ur concerned about Estro just get some Adex ( ARIMIDEX® anastrozole) or Aroma (Aromasin/Exemestane) + try that.

A few thoughts.

- You should get your testosterone labs done first thing in the morning. That is when your levels are the highest.

- Each lab is different, so include reference ranges.

- Checking total estrogen is not very helpful. Estradiol (E2) is what you want to look at. Without that, you can't tell if you have an estrogen problem.

- Check your prolactin levels.

- Have you done anything to treat your gyno? Was your gyno diagnosed by a doctor? What do you mean when you say it fluctuates throughout the day? I haven't heard anyone else say they have experienced that before in regard to gyno.

- Check your LH and FSH to help determine if you might have primary or secondary hypogonadism.

--> DON'T start self-treating. You don't know enough to even know what is wrong with you. You could make things a whole lot worse. Don't fuck things up even worse. Get professional medical help. Keep looking for a good doctor or call the board sponsor IMT. You will find their ad posted on the right of your screen.

- There are a lot of things that can cause Low T. Sleep apnea for one. Over-training. Crappy diet. Thyroid problems. Etc. Get all of this stuff looked into to try and figure out what is going on.
