I heard that if something is sent priority that it cant be x-rayed or opened...is this true or just bs??

I'm not sure about the xray thing but I know that first class and priority mail can not be opened by postal workers without a court order. I seen an article on this before. I'll try and find the info.

From the postal inspector web site:

"First-Class letters and parcels are protected against search and seizure under the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, and, as such, cannot be opened without a search warrant. If there is probable cause to believe the contents of a First-Class letter or parcel violate federal law, Postal Inspectors can obtain a search warrant to open the mailpiece. Other classes of mail do not contain private correspondence, and therefore may be opened without a warrant."

On the brighter side, they don't really have time to xray EVERY piece of mail even if they can (priority, express mail).

Probable cause means 'I felt like checking it'. Like slimshady said above, the best thing is that time is against them on something like this.
