protien-carb-fat %

A lot of stuff i've read on bulking say ur carbs should be twice as high as ur proteins. So if ur taking in 300g protein every day, u should take in almost 600g carbs. idk about fats.
 
yer same thats what im thinking aswell...il do more reserch and see what i come up with but fuck thats alot of carbs LOL hows your dieting going bro
 
1-1.5xbodyweight is protein. 3x bodyweight is carbs. fat probably doesnt matter as long as its mostly good fats.

my diet is going well but i cant wait to start eating again!!! i've learned so much more about nutrition and how to bulk lol its just teasing me. i cant wait to grow. but im almost 6 weeks out now. im looking leaner. sticking to the diet pretty well. if i cheat its pretty much some almonds or a little peanut butter so nothing too bad. But as im getting closer im more motivated to be strict with it. and i have to be as it gets closer too since my body will be starving, any mess up and my body is going to store it as fat, with the exception of my cheat meals. ohhhh i look forward to that. im having some french toast on sunday morning :) that also motivates me to stick to the diet.

and on a side note, i definately need to learn to lift WAY lighter when dieting. Just too prone to injury. The other day i was doing incline barbell bench (which i've decided to stay away from now because its too vulnerable of a position for the shoulders) I was repping 255 and on one of the reps my left rotator cuff got messed up. its getting better so i know its not torn, but i definately sprained it good. So i havent been able to hit chest for over a week now. But i should be alright soon. Just gotta be careful.

a 40/40/20 is good but what if your needs are 5000 calores cuz your horribly active?? (not cuz your mr olympia)

u shouldn't need more then 300-350g protein a day.. your carbs go up to take its place.. your fats stay low.. that's the idea..

Just wondering why everyone is saying to keep fats low while increasing carbs? Once your glycogen stores are full, arent excess carbs unnecessary? I understand some people might need more carbs than others to replenish those stores, but it seems like it would be ok to increase fats instead of carbs. I know its possible to gain muscle on keto, yet it seems in this thread you all support low fats. Any reason why, or is it just preference?
 
I don't like sticking to %s. The only thing I keep constant is my protein. Higher carbs on workout days and higher fats on off days.
 
50 % carbs / 30 % fats/ 20 % protein if you are natty, but if you are taking roids it increases the amount of protein you can use.
so 40/40/20 makes sense to me.
fats seem less important since you don't need the test increase.
