You mentioned glute hams with bands, you have any pics, and what type bands do you use. What tension, i am thinking about picking some up.
 
i'll post a clip next time i do them. i use the heavy bands, blue i think. put them around the back of my neck so its got some tension at the bottom and then have it. they will burn those hams up.

if you get some bands get the three thickest ones. green blue and purlpe i think. its around 150 bucks or so. we used to use them a lot on primary exercises when we got them but i limit them to assitance work now.

heres a pic i found. we do them slightly diff. i dont sit all the way up to a prone postion. where this guy is starting where i finish. but yopu get the basic idea here.

PB, why not just hold a plate across the chest when doing these? I'm asking b/c my gym (rec center) doesn't have bands, and I don't have the funds or true necessity to go out and get my own right now.

Plates dont weigh enough, I do like a dumbell though.

you dont have to buy the whole set of bands , just start with a set of green bands that wouldnt be that expensive ( 25$ ) heres a link

you might even want to go with the light blue bands to start with which are only 25$
 
i have tried holding plates, bars, dbs. the prob is that i got well over 405 on the bar and still wasnt getting the resistance i get from a big band choked down. plus with a bar you only get to do a partial rep because of the range of motion being cut short from my long ass arms. in other words no resistance at the bottom. the bands get tighter as the movement progresses.

that little band thst guy is using in the pic is usuless for me. i use the fat one choked down several times. i get some footage posted soon.

these bands will not break. we got the heaviest three, average, strong and monster.
