I just injected .5 ML with a 23 guage needle into my quad. It was the first time I did it there but I think it went well. I am just not sure.
This is only my second injection. I did the first one in the glute, and there was no pain, but some bleeding after I pulled the needle out. Afterward, there was a lump that I massaged away. I did this while on the phone with the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic guy.
For my glute injection, I pushed straight down to the end of the needle, slightly outside of the center of the leg. As the needle was going in, I felt a stinging that radiated down towards my knee. When I pulled out the needle, there was no blood, and no lump. Is it possible that I hit a spot in between 2 muscles and the testosterone didn't get where is is supposed to get? Is it normal to have a stinging sensation when you shoot into your quad?
I figure that the lack of blood was from being in better control of the needle during the shot. When I did the one in the butt, it was flapping around quite a bit.
Thanks
