Question about ED meds and E2 levels

Hey man, I had/have the same issue as you - beat the hell out of my estrogen recently. Like you, I also stopped it for 4 straight days, but now am back on at .25 E3D. The thing is, who knows if my dose is correct now - but its a start. You can't just chase your estrogen around with boners. It will be a never ending battle. Pick a dose, and stick with it for a while, like more than the next expected morning wood.

Anyway - just my thought on it. Even if you can't get blood drawn often, you can atleast pick a sensible dose and let your body has it out for a few weeks. At the rate you are changing things, you will never get a base.

Jim, thanks. You are right, I don't think the boner test is the most reliable way to gauge E2. I think .25 mg E3D is the dose I am going to stick with for a while. I figured I would give myself a good week without adex before starting again. I really don't have any symptoms of high or low E2. Just wish I had higher libido, but hey, maybe I just have to accept this is the way it is at 59. I was on androgel, but recently switched to injections, 2 weeks now. But I was told that it could take 6 weeks for it to build up in my body, so I am also doing one pump of androgel 1.62 ED to keep my levels up.

I see that. But would the first one be ok, I mean just to give me an idea of where my E2 is? Cause right now I have no idea. Still low libido. I went 6 days without any arimidex, and had good wood Saturday morning. But But I have not had it since. So today I took 1/4mg. I have reduced my adrogel to one pump, because I am doing 100mg of test c every friday. Two weeks so far.

It is up to you.

Let's run a scenario. What if you get the cheaper regular assay and it comes in with a result of 54pg/ml? Normal range goes up to 42. Do you increase your AI dose or leave it where it is at?

At that point, I would think that I would need to increase my AI, no? Ok, I guess I will go with the sensitive one.

That is the problem with the regular assay. It is typically 10-20 points overstated. That means your estradiol would likely fall between 34 and 44. 34 would be perfect. 44 would be pretty good for most guys. You would probably want to leave your dose alone. But you will never know for sure. The regular assay just isn't as accurate. If you can afford it spend the extra money so you don't have this doubt lingering around.

I agree. I have enough confusion, don't need to add to it!

Great comment Meg. Really if it is important and we know E2 can play havoc not only with a cycle but heath, Why would anyone get an estimate instead of the real deal. Get a sensitive assay.

I just don't get it. I want to know I want to do it right, I'll ask Q's but I want to save money and get a half assed test, so G2G? ........... Hello Not!!!
