Question about fat intake timing-diet gurus!

I'm dieting for a show right now and I swear by using Cod
Liver Oil to cut with- definitely good stuff. I try not to mix fats and carbs at the same meal, but it seems like the only meal that does not contain carbs is right before bed. Would it be a bad thing to have the majority of my fats in one meal, right at the end of the day? I'm not sure where else to incorporate them? Does it matter that much if you mix fats and carbs, assuming we are talking about oats,yams,balck beans mixed with Cod Liver Oil? Your input/advice is appreciated!

Take some flax oil with your cottage cheese before bed. I either have cottage cheese and flax oil or a protein shake and flax oil.
 
How much fat are you thinking of taking all at once?
I normally take flax oil two to three times a day with my protein shakes. The only shake I don't put my flax oil in, is my post workout shake. Are you using fish oil caps? What about flax? Are you using that too?
 
Trying to get 60-80 grams (20-30% of total kcals) right now. I'm taking Cod liver oil- oil, not caps- before bed w/cottage cheese, but I wasn't sure if getting the majority of my fat at this time was alright or if I should try to split it up some more. I just didn't really want to combine fats and carbs in the same meal, and all but my last meal has carbs in it? I will start to use flax, too, if you think I should use a blend of fats. Any merit to not combining carbs and fats? Also- check out my diet in the competitors forum...I think both of you have already started helping on it. Thanks!

The 60-80grams is all your fat for the day? Or is that the amount you want to use from flax/cod liver oil?
I'd definitely still take the two before bed and then split the rest up when you're having your protein shakes.
You said you're using lemon flavored Cod Liver Oil? Doesn't that taste gross? lol...sorry I have to ask:D
 
I'm on a 40/40/20 right now, so at 3,500 calories, that is 78 grams of fat a day. The oil is awesome- comes from Norweigian cod and tastes nothing like fish!

That's a nice split for you. Stay with that for now and just adjust accordingly.
It doesn't taste like fish huh? Where can I get some?
 
Alright- sounds good. I get it from a place here called WildOats. Its a natural food dtsore that specialized in organically grown foods. You have something like that where you are?
