Question for Frosty

Hey Frosty I've noticed you reply a lot in the Diet forum but I've never seen you post a sample of your diet.
Would you mind putting it up?
Thanks

Sure thing, bro.

Right now I'm trying to gain weight, so I'm drinking 1.5-2 gallons of milk a day. I don't have set "meals" most of the time...I just drink milk and eat other things.

Breakfast to dinner is generally a gallon of milk and a couple pints of blueberries. I'll have a few raw whole eggs in there.

Dinner is usually at least 16 oz of beef. Either steaks, roasts, or ground beef. I'll eat a lot more if it's grilled...probably 20 oz steak, couple chicken breasts, and a hamburger or two. This is usually 90 minutes before lifting. If there are veggies, then you can bet they're buttered.

I'll eat a banana and then lift.

Once done with lifting, I eat 2 bananas and take my supplements.

After about 20 minutes after lifting I'll start to stuff my face with a few cups of salted brown rice and get in another half to full gallon of milk.

Towards bed I might have some more blueberries or something like that, and I might add cream to my milk so it's like half and half.

Generally I get at least 5,000 calories a day, but if I'm really hungry, sometimes 8,000 or more.

Keep in mind that I only drink raw whole milk from a local farmer I know. I also got my beef from this farmer as well (bought a whole cow for my freezer).

I try to eat liver at least once a week, but sometimes twice a week. And I ALWAYS get my cod liver oil at 1 tablespoon a day, taken with lots of milk, butter, vitamin C, E, and often blueberries.

This is a bulker, so that's why it's not very specific hehe.

Sorry Frosty.........You are not where close to getting 5 - 8,000 kcals / day.

Just physically impossible to eat that much. Not to mention you weight what 200 lb.

Sorry i'd go back and find the real numbers. Not hating but don't want you to be confused.

I am not mistaken.

money shot, why is it impossible to get that many cals in? I weighed around 200 and was getting about 6000 calories at one point. I had a differant diet which was mostly whole foods and wieght gainer since I cant stand to drink milk. But it is easily possible to do. Think about how many cals 2 gallons of milk has, add some steaks, and some other shit on the side. It easily adds up.

Wow! That's an intense diet. What's so great about liver?
Thanks for the quick reply!

The great thing about liver is that it is so nutrient dense. That is one thing that is good about my diet...it is very nutrient dense. Your body needs nutrients to build itself and to maintain itself. If not, your body will steal from itself to try to survive. This can be seen in long horn cattle. When they get very poor pasture, their very large wide horns will shrink down and look shively...that is because their body is stealing from itself to survive since it's not getting the proper nutrition from its food. Eating a nutrient rich diet gives your body everything it needs, so it will be healthy and able to build itself to adapt to what you throw at it.

Liver is a very rich source of B vitamins, especially B12. It is also a rich source of vitamin A, something notoriously deficient in diets today. It is also rich in minerals, and is the richest source of dietary chromium. Not to mention it is a pretty easy protein to digest.

I also try to get oysters whenever I can, as they are also very rich sources of nutrients. It's just hard to get them at certain times of the year, but if you can find a good raw bar it's very good for you! Clams and mussels are also very good for you, but they are not nearly as a good source of zinc as oysters are.

I dont know how you can eat liver, it makes me sick just thinking of the taste. But if I could eat it and even semi enjoy it I would eat it. I just have to do my best to supplement, and yes I know its not the same.
