Question on TRT while on cycle

Ok I am not sure if this is the right forum but here is my issue. I am 7 weeks in on my first cycle (test e 500mg/wk-12 wks) and I just got my script from my doctor for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (Test C 100mg/wk). My problem is that he wants me to get bloodwork done in 8 weeks which will be in the middle of my post cycle therapy (pct). Should I just taper down my test e to 100mg/wk after my 12 weeks are up and then post cycle therapy (pct) after I do my bloods with him? I really was surprised he gave me the script so this caught me off guard, my test level was 657, but my free test was a little low (11). So I don't plan on doing the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) all the time, plan on filling my script and cycling again when I have enough. Any advice will be appreciated.

Ok well you're kind of in the right spot... right enough for me to tell you you're playing with fire right now and need to pull your head out of your ass. I don't even know how you got a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) script 2 months into a cycle unless he's just that slow in getting back to you on the lab results. Regardless, if you were considering testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and still in the middle of getting it figured out with your doctor, it wasn't all that smart to jump into a cycle in the middle of all of that. What's even worse is that your total test is really good, and free test certainly acceptable... I'd either be finding a new doctor (because this one doesn't seem to know what he's doing), or just run with it like you plan and hope you don't get caught working the system.
My testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) process went like this: Office visit, Lab work, phone call, more lab work, office visit to get script. 6 weeks later more labs and office visit, 8 weeks after that more labs and office visit... It takes time (MONTHS) to get the doc happy with the consistent T levels in your blood, and you don't want to screw that up with inflated numbers due to a recent cycle (not to mention your BP may be up as well which is a red flag for a good dr.)

At this point, I'd make sure you give your body at least good month of 100mg a week to level back out to the correct number for the blood work. Then you can run post cycle therapy (pct) after the labs and collect your prescribed handout as scheduled.
Sorry if I sound harsh, its just that something with your ill-conceived approach here doesn't sit well.

No offense taken, but to clarify yes the doctor is very popular and I had bloodwork done for him 9 weeks ago. After I saw how high my levels were I started my cycle because I assumed no way this guy would put me on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I went in because I was showing classic symptoms of low T, guess I am just getting old because T looks fine to me. I just went to my follow up appointment last week, his first available opening at the time, its been 10 weeks since my first consultation/bloodwork.

Have you looked into other potential issues like sleep apnea, thyroid, Vitamin D, etc? There are other things that can present symptoms similar to Low T.

Well I guess I can see how he'd be popular lol. Any doc who gives out testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) scripts like candy would be. All I can say here is be careful with your timing. This guy sounds like he won't be as involved as other docs would be. Which means you may want to monitor your own labs (PSA, hematocrit, e2, etc)... I'm glad you at least recognize you don't need it and I guess should congratulate you on your free ride!

Yeah like I said it totally caught me off guard when he prescribed it, I went ahead and kept my appointment because I was seeing him for other issues as well. And Megatron you hit the nail on the head with the Vit D and the low free tes, I was flagged low with that first blood test and have since been supplementing with 10000iu's daily.
