quick filter question

Hey guys, im fairly sure I'm right. But here goes.

.22 filter is 22 microns right? So if I had a Bucher funnel and my filter paper is 5-10 micron I should be ok? Any threads or advice around on using the bottle top filters that are reusable? You just take it apart, clean it, sterilize and pop a new filter in them, they look handy but not sure if I would use one.

Thanks

Guess im asking, the filters we use are .22 and .45 micron which is 22 and 45 micron, so a filter that is 5-10 micron should be .05-.10 right?

I believe .22 and .45 micron filters are just that, .22 of a micron and .45 of a micron. At least that is what I would hope knowing that most particles are 5 microns or less in size.

Yeah, I thought about that today lol. Thanks for answering though. Cause most general bacteria are .2-2micron and viruses are something like .05-1 micron

Both them are in diameter, not length of bac/vir.
