R-ALA for women

My wife does cardio once a day and works out also. She is looking to lean out a bit and I heard this stuff is pretty good for carb control. Do you ladies think this is a good supplement for this. She also uses ephedra from time to time. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
 
i just use regular ALA.

ala doesn't cancel out carbohydrates... it helps regulate blood sugar. soooo it's still all about a good diet.

and actually... poor man's ALA (it's better than ala) is a shot of a Tbsp of apple cider vinegar and a Tbsp of lemon juice. :)
 
that works for ALA supplementation? just a shot of apple vinegar, UHHHHHHHHHHHH, and lemon juice? interesting

Vinegar has been shown to increase glycogen stores in muscles post-workout. I've never heard about the lemon juice...what does it do specifically?

I know anything acidic will slow gastric emptying, therefore lowering the glycemic index of the food you eat. Not to mention it will improve the digestion of meat! Always a good thing :)
