raisins & blood sugar

Rasisns are fairly high on the GI 65 i think +- 10 so they are moderately to highly going to effect your blood glucose levels. The reason is because rasins are ripened dried grapes, which are high in sugar per the same carbs for grapes that your going to eat.
 
all depends. By themselves , or with just clean protein - yes. Put in oatmeal with some flaxmeal added ..alongside a protein shake.....not so much. Glycemic load is the key ..glycemic index inst a practical measure of effect on bllood sugar levels in most cases.

very true, practically you need to take into account your whole foods carbs
