Realsistic Goal?

Hey guys I'm leaving to go on a cruise in about 4 weeks and was wondering what is a realistic goal for me as far as fat loss in that amount of time...I currently weight about 228, down from 254 although due to a recent move I really have come off my diet the last couple of weeks and I'm trying to get back on it. I was thinking of doing about an hour of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach followed by a protein shake (Muscle Milk light) and then lifting at night after work followed by another shake with my dinner. I am also going to get a bottle of Lipo-6 cause I have read good things about it...So basically where do you think I could be by the time that cruise comes along? And am I doing the right things?

are you saying that 2 protein shakes is going to be all that you eat?

in a a month, id say you could drop 4-5 pounds of actual fat, and a few more pounds of water, glycogen, etc.

No I'm sorry I didn't mean that at all I read that again and realized that it does sound that way..I'm planning on taking in about 1500-1800 calories daily consisting of things like lean chicken breast and salads and vegetables.

well, for long term weight loss, your calories are too low. at your weight, i can already tell you that weightloss is going to stall sooner or later, especially with twice a day cardio/training. on the other hand, for short term weight loss (4 weeks) this may be the way to go, throwing some highe carb, low fat refeeds in there every 5 days or so.

for long term weight loss, id say 2500-3000 calories is about where you should be aiming. maybe a little less on non training days.

gotta clarify that there is no way you should go that low on cals. if you go that low your body is going to thing your at a shortage of food so you not eating normally. in turn, your body will hold more of that as stored energy(body fat) instead of using the cals for energy(burned or put into muscle) or excreted from the body(as mr. hanky or poop ;) ) For you i would recommend going about 2500, for a short term weight loss. don't try to go as low as 1800 unless you got gear bro, and still that is low for 220, REAL LOW. Just stay around 250 and that should keep your body as using muscles for fuel and storing and holding fat for later use. also, it'll keep you from over training. two times a day of cardio plus weight training is really hard on your bod bro. i would say that your going to lose about 2 to 2 1/2 pounds a week on 2500 cal. about 3-4 pounds a week on 1800 where about 1 pound would be coming from muscle. by the way you'll lose more weight from muslce as the cal deprivation goes on because of overtraining. unless your on gear of course. also if you shoot for something more unatural(and unsafe i might add) like DNP then i could say you could lose around 12-16 pounds of pure fat before your cruise. i would never advice the use the this substance though and i am only saying it as an option because some have used it for that such reason. natural is the way to go if your looking for the best experience long term. good luck bro and be safe whatever you do.
