Rebound cycle after competition to add mass

Hi everyone, I'm planning to do a rebound and add some serious size after my first competition.

During this prep I have been doing pretty much the following:
1-10 test-E 250mg/week
1-12 tren-E 600mg/week (started with 400 first 6 weeks)
1-12 mast-E 300mg/week (started with 200 first 6 weeks)

Of course I will be very low bodyfat and after competition I want to use my rebound to add a lot of mass. I've heard different opinions about this, some say to cruise first, some say to increase the AAS etc. etc...
I was thinking to drop the Tren and Mast and add high test (maybe even deca but dont want to go to crazy and try high test which I have never done before):

13-20 750mg test-E/week
16-19 50mg Dbol/day
20-24 1000mg test-E/week

What do you guys think?

Others that compete hopefully chime in, but it's my understanding that right after a comp your metabolism is also buy shut down from the extended calorie deficit. I'd increase your calories for a few weeks to maintenence. Then slowly increase a few hundred each week until you're about 5-700 about e maintenence and continue lifting hard, heavy sets and give some recovery time between sets

Almost finished for my competition, so before I want to rebound:

26years old
1,78m
81kg
6% bf

I used to be like 93kg 14% a few months back :P

well a lot of people refer to the post contest "rebound" effect in regards to drastically putting on body fat after a show. I'm assuming thats not what your wanting to do?

Post contest "Rebound" has to do with DIET .

Never heard of a post contest rebound for 'anabolics'. You've been running a gram worth of androgens for the last 12 weeks , your receptors are already saturated ,,, you can't suddenly get done with a contest and take more steroids expecting them to get saturated any further.

personally , I'd come off the anaboics completely at this time, or at least a very light cruise or bridge. Let your receptors re-sensitize and reset . and as this is happening work on the DIET rebound effect.
slowly add back in carbs, then slowly add fats. If you were doing say for example 5 days of cardio an hour per session , don't completely stop that post contest ., just taper it back slowly . go to 4 days per week an hour . then 4 days per week 40 mins , then 3 days per week 40 mins, etc etc.. get that metabolism reset without sucking in a ton of fat.

once that is stabilized and your back to maintenance or above maintenance with little to no cardio and able to not put on fat at that time ,, then your ready to start Massing again. Also your receptors are ready for anabolics again and a new growth spurt.

^^ this process is completely dependent person to person . could take 4 weeks , could take 8+.

if your idea is just to go straight into a Hyper-caloric diet right this very minute and start Massing and upping the androgens , then your just going to blow up and get fat as hell. thats not the desired goal I'm sure.

give it time for things to reset. Once stabilized then go right into a heavy Massing cycle and diet with a hypertrophy focused training block.

my 2 cents

Roush was more detailed than I was but he's right. Training and diet exspecially diet is ultra important to keep fat gain to a minimum

Of course my diet and everything will be in check, I would slowly up calories etc... That's no problem.

A rebound cycle after a prep (because you're so low in bf and respond well) is quite common.

how does being low body fat enhance or make a steroid cycle work better ?? just curious what the biological/scientific reason for this would be.

lots of things are "quite common" , but does not mean there is any real evidence that it actually works

Isn't your body constantly making new androgen receptors?

Isn't your body constantly making new androgen receptors?

I'm not sure about "constantly" , your body 'can' make new androgen receptors. Phil Heath has way more androgen receptors then me , and he has more androgen receptors then he did 10 years ago . Thats part of being able to pack on more size, is more receptors (obviously just muscle tissue receptors , not brain ,prostate etc).

your body does not just dump androgen receptors daily and build all new ones though . it takes a process to build more receptors , and the more you acquire the more muscle you can build. if your body was just making new ones constantly all day long , then hormones like testosterone would have nothing to bind to and occupy .

before steroids , like testosterone, can make any changes in your body, they have to enter DNA. In order for them to actually get to the DNA, they have to be bound from blood circulation by androgen receptors in cells. these receptor sites then become "occupied" .

also the majority of androgen receptors are occupied at quite moderate levels of AAS.
thats why there is the 'diminishing returns' factor with how much dosage to run , because at a certain point your androgen receptors are fully occupied and more steroids won't do anything (other then aromatize and then have estrogen receptors that can be bound ,, not good).

again, the more receptors you have the more gear you can run and it be effective . Thats why a 300 pound pro body builder can run 3 grams of AAS and it yield results , where as a novice does not have near the receptors to run that much and put that much gear to use.

over a period of time and running gear and body building you will build more and more androgen receptors in skeletal muscle , and the more experience you have and more receptors the more gear you can run and put to use.

ok thats that :) as far as your question relating to the topic at hand , the OP has and will of been on cycle for 12 weeks running a gram worth of AAS , all his androgen receptors are fully 'saturated and occupied' ,, simply running more and more androgens after the 12 weeks will NOT 're-occupy' or make new androgen receptors . in fact if he gets off gear completely for awhile and allows the receptors to 're-set' and detox , then when he jumps back on they will be ready to be 'occupied' again. and not only that perhaps he will have gained more receptors and his next cycle can yield more gains .

theres also the up regulation and down regulation of the androgen receptor and AAS use . perhaps someone with a better understanding of human biology can chime in.
