Hey guys I'm new to the low-carb thing and don't know much about, but I'm trying to learn. I was just wondering what kind of salads I could eat on a low carb diet if any? I go to college and most of the food is not low carb whatsoever, although they realy have decent salads and wondering what kind would be ok for a low carb diet? Thanks guys.

Try a salad consisting of not many carbohydrates ie not to many dense carbohydrate toppings and/or fillings.

stick to dark green fiberous choices.. romaine lettuce, spiniach, iceberg lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, cucumbers..

Salad greens like spinach, Lollo rosso, Endives, Lettuc with olives, a few pine nuts, cucumbers, a little choppedd onion, boiled egg, tuna and some olive oil for dressing :D

I like to throw chicken or tuna on my salads and make it a big meal. quite filling if you pack in enough greens.
just watch out for the added cheese.. high in fats and calories.
