Short Cycle while on TRT

I've been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for the last year and feel amazing. I'm dialed in to 160mg EW of Test Cyp; 8 week cycles of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) 250IU 2/EW, and .25mg Anastrozole E3D - EOD depending on how I feel. Bloods come back perfect every time and this gets me to around 750 ish to 800's on my injection day (Fridays). If I'm running Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) my low day is in the 900's.

I'm required to have blood drawn every 12 weeks so they can track my hormone levels, hemoglobin, PSA, etc. I've done a lot of reading here on short cycles without really seeing any consensus on what can work for great short cycles in between tests.

I would continue my 160mg EW of Test C as my doctor injects this himself. I've seen people recommend Test P, or Test C/E for 8 weeks, or kick starting with an oral. Is anyone actually doing any of these in a similar situation and what kind of success have you had?

I ask because it sounds like a lot of people think 8 weeks on a longer ester is not worth the effort. I think I would have to stop after 8 weeks and donate blood to make sure everything came back normal at my 12th week appointment.

Thoughts?

My honest opinion is you wait until they loosen that leash on the blood tests. Every 3 months is kind of silly after a year, but hopefully it's just a really cautious doctor. Hard to give you much advice as it can take up to 6 weeks for your levels to drop back down to your TRT-based ones. This would leave you 6-8 weeks to get those levels up and take advantage of them. Not much to play with, hence why I would wait a little longer and possibly inquire as to why your doctor feels the need to check so often. FYI: PSA is only required once a YEAR, so I'm really confused on that one. :p

My .02c :)

They pride themselves on aggressively tracking PSA to make sure nothing adverse comes around from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Not sure if the 3 month testing cycle will be loosened after my one year appointment in four weeks. We'll see.

I was thinking four weeks would be long enough for a Test C/E to come back down to my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) levels. I didn't realize it would take 6 weeks for that to happen. Thanks for the heads up.

Sounds like Test isn't really an option at this point since I won't be able to run it long enough unless my testing requirements are loosened.

Well, optimally it would be 3-4 weeks - but we all metabolize the drugs differently, so I like to err on the side of caution. Especially when dealing with an aggressive doc that will quickly pull the plug if he sees you pop high on a total testosterone panel. I can't wait for the medical community to get their head out of their collective asses and agree that it's ESTRADIOL that causes all these problems. The only side effect that I've seen actually contributed to testosterone is heart enlargement. Everything else literally can be traced back to elevated levels of E2, including PSA values. There have been some really good studies coming out lately that are trying to clarify this misconception, but until everyone catches on - we get to enjoy that finger in our collective asses and bite our tongues while the docs keep their ears to the ground.

You'll be able to play soon enough, hopefully your doc lightens up and gives you the go ahead for less frequent visits soon. :)

**Note: I am not a doctor and my advice should not be construed as medical advice. I just want to be clear on that. ;)

I'm sure you can make great gains from 160 mg/week of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), why chance alarming the doc and getting thrown out of the clinic?
Got another plan if this happens?
Personally I don't see the rush.
What day does he have you go in for the blood work, how many days does he want you to wait from injection?
Remember: Haste makes waste!

Well the whole point would be NOT to get popped for it. ;) My backup plan would be to just go see a different clinic. They seem to be everywhere where I live.

I am actually making great progress where I'm at. It's like I'm in my early twenties again.

I get tested on injection day before I get the next injection. Goal is to have my lowest day come back in the high 700's to mid 800's range. Took about 9 months to really dial everything in.

he tests your T levels a week after taking the shot?
Mine wanted blood work done 3 days after shot

Why do you want to mess with things if you are dialed in and you feel good? It seems that the roller coaster ride up and then back down to your levels now may have you feeling like crap when you get back down to your levels now. Just curious...May not happen this way...I am new to the game so this may sound stupid.

Doesn't sound stupid. My thinking was I could make some better gains in a short burst and go back to my normal testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and pick up where I left off. At this point it's probably not worth the risk.

Just curious, how would running a short cycle of dbol for about 4 weeks?

Hopefully halfwit will chime in, but I would imagine you would make some good gains with that. Be careful man, as solid as your numbers look, I wouldn't want to fuck it up over 4 weeks of d-Bol. JMO

It would most certainly mess with blood pressure and estradiol. Yes, 4 weeks on dbol while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can be beneficial - but when still under the magnifying glass, I would stay away for now. Once that leash is loosened, then it's play time. ;)
