shot in the glutes and bled like mad

so my first incident happened yesterday while giving myself a shot in the glutes, i pushed the pin in, aspirated, everything was good, injected test and deca, as soon as pulled the needle out, blood ran down my cheek. could i have knicked a vein on the way out? it is a little bruise today, doesnt hurt to touch yet. is it anything to worry about?

and i got light headed for a sec, when i called my wife in, she asked if i was ok because my face was red and she said i had a look on my face that she couldnt describe. i think i was shocked, wasnt expecting to see that much blood. every other time it was flawless

thats some funny shit, it was a lot of blood i never had it run out like that, was kinda crazy

i got to thinking, maybe i didnt aspirate it enough, how far should you pull it back?

Just enough to see small bubbles. As long as bubbles come into the syringe and not blood you should be safe.

You hardly need to aspirate, IF you are wrong there will be pressure in the syringe making it easy to pull back. But still always aspirate so you see a bubble
