so you wanna be a Westsider?

I would love to go and train there but I have a steady job in So Cal! thanks Blackbeard for posting that info! Pretty intersesting to say the least. Are they exspecting you to already be competetive or could any one who has regularly lifted and mantined a prety strong but norm,al base go. The free gym and free hands on instruction woudl be awesome!
You headin you there?

no matter how much i enjoy lifting weights, their is much much more than lifting at westside. I would never pick my life up and move for a hobby, no matter how serious i was about that hobby.

who funds the extrordinary accomplishments?
as much as i would love to work out there, it just doesnt seem feasible for the average guy. I guess ill always just be a "wannabe" westsider. lol

I'd definately give it some serious thought if I didn't have a good job here. I think I could put up with the work, I love powerlifting.

and others would say you should do something you love whether it be lifting at westisde or any other gym..rather than be tied to some 9-5 crap...

I love this line, it is a classic, just curioius how old you are and what do you do for a living. I like my job. Ohio sucks. I wouldn't live their unless it was for pretty big money. I don't care how serious you are, their has to be more to life than lifting. Jesus, i can't imagine how bad my life would have to be for lifting to be the main issue in my decision making. But that is me, everyone has their own life to live.

i dont think id be happy without access to the ocean either..
i should have clarified doing something you love, doesnt have to be lifting it can be anything..

Im a little older than you and had wokred on wall street for 8 years..Ive made lots of money and lossed lots too..and honestly i wasnt any happier when i had money and i realized its not worth dying over for some stupid job..I feel there is a lot more to life than a "career"..I think one needs to be happy..if youre job makes you happy thats great if lifting makes you happy thats great..
if you have a chance to make a life doing something you love, why not.. whether its lifting or whether its doing something else such as fishing..

some people define themselves through their careers and such..i used to do that but certain things have been a real eye opener for me at least..lifes to short to have to conform to certain societal rules..

dont base someones worth on what kind of job they have or what they choose to do with their life..trust me some of the richest people are THE biggest scumbags you will ever meet!!!!!!

That is the truth, but you came off a little different then the first post. I chose not to work on Wall Street, and it is a good thing i did, because i probably would have gotten in at Canter Fitz, and we all know how that went. I went to work on my own terms, and continue to live on my own terms. I passed up alot of my dads connections to do what i felt was right for me at the time. If i moved out of state at this time, i would have three major questions 1 career, and fishing and lifting are 2 and 3. If i had a family that would obviously take over the numbre one position.
