ive come up with some good recipes with ramen noodles, easy to make, cheap, and loaded with protein carbs adn calories. but also lots of sodium, avarageing about at least 1500mg of sodium. each meal. if i eat about 2 of these a day, plus in addition to al lthe toehr sodium i intake during the day, hpow is that health wise an diet wise? is sodium really that bad, or can i still eat eating this religiosly like i have been

Use other noodles. You can easily go out and buy plain noodles and adjust the salt as you wish.

If anything, just put less sauce that they give you for the Ramen noodles so that will lower the sodium as well.

youll be fine assuming the rest of your diet isnt completely retarded.

btw...unless youre just a huge fan of 3 cent per pound noodles, theres way better choices of carbs out there.

If your concerned about the extra sodium add in some extra water to your diet.

hey dirk, would adding a lot of extra water to the diet, counterbalance the affects of sodium?

Found this in Flex:
Scientists from the Albert Einstein College of Medecine reported in the American Journal that adults who took in less than 2,300mg of sodium per day were 37% more likely to die from cardiovascular disease that hose who consumed more than 2,300mg per day. Low sodium diets increase levels of rennin, which increases bloode pressure when sodium intake is low.

Most if not all of the sodium is in the season packet they give you. Most of that is left over at the bottom of the bowl once you finish eating all the noodles, unless you drink what is left over. I like to cut up grilled chicken breast and mix it in with the noodles.

If you drink alot of water, that flushes your system out.

why use ramen when you could use something like egg noodles in a low salt broth you can buy or make yourself? Not sure if you have the store Trader Joe's where you are but you can concoct your own soup easily.
