Splitting creatine

I have always taken mine all at once, although sometimes I mix it with 20oz of water and drink it as I get thirsty but that's more of a convenience thing.
 
When I started creatine a decade ago, all you heard was 5g post-workout. Now I see lots of preworkout supp's with creatine added. Both make sense--body absorbing so well after exercise, while creatine is involved in the energy process of the workout itself. After reading conflicting accounts on both sides (both of which make some good points), I asked myself why I was tripping over it. Creatine Mono is absurdly cheap in comparison to almost any other supp. I now take 5g before and after (never heard of or experienced any ill effects from double-dosing), and its still the cheapest of all my supps. Just food for thought...
 
Good point right now I am taking 1500mg of con-cret (100% pure concentrated creatine hydrochloride) and 11g jack3d (per work out witch has creatine monohydrate in it) 15-30 mins before my work out and after my work out I take 45g of ON gold standard whey (36g protein 8 BCAAs 8g glutamine & precursors)
 
Sounds good. Are you getting some post-workout carbs, too? Really, go to 3J's diet forum threads. It sounds lame, but proper macros in proper amounts at proper times will go way farther in terms of your progress than any supplement off BB.com.
 
Yeah with all the sample packs of Pre workout stuff my creatine is all over the place because I'm still taking the MP Creatine regardless if I get it in the Pre Intra's and Post drinks. I figure I'll just piss it out anyways
