Born on the Pacific Island of Tonga, Tevita grew up on Tonga, Hawaii and in California. At high school Tevita joined the wrestling team. As a Marine he went to Japan and participated in the gulf war of 1990. He also played Rugby and (American) football. Tevita currently works in the insurance business.
