if you don't use steril vials, then I'm asuming you need to sterilize the vial and topper? just use some alcohol?

there are a few ways to sterilize and keep your supplies sterile. If you purchase an empty sterile vial from me, it will come sterile. If it is open, it needs to be sterilized. You can either shake it with a little isopropyl alcohol and let it dry, or cook the glassware on low heat (about 200-250) for about 20-30 minutes.

When piercing the top of a vial with a syringe, you need to remember that any germs on the top of the plastic will be pushed into your sterile vial if you are not careful. Always clean the top of the vial with alcohol--not spit. Just because you can't see dirt, doesn't mean its clean.
