What does it mean when your getting stuck during your bench at the bottom i.e. the first couple inches of your chest on the way up? Is there a guide or site which shows what you should work in order to overcome a sticking point?

weight may be to heavy

Gotcha . .so there isn't something that indicates a certain weakness and certain strength training exercises to help and improve that?

How do you know that is your sticking point or if the weight is just too heavy? That is my sticking point, paused reps and low pin presses helped increase my raw bench in a few weeks. If you look at my training log i think i was stuck around 390 and then doubled 405 like 3 or 4 weeks later i think.

How far is it over a successfull lift? I never die at the bottom unless its just purely too heavy, thats your chest/lats letting you know its too much. If I die half way, then I know I'm 5+ pounds too high, if I come close to locking out but not quite, then its 5 or less too much from a complete rep.
