Stupid questions about nutrition

I just have to ask, sorry.

QUESTION 1:

If you're trying to lose weight, and your calories are set to 2500 a day, with a 500 calorie deficit, which makes for a 3500 calorie deficit over the course of a week that equals to 1 lbs of weight loss (provided proper nutrition).

What if instead you were to eat 3000 calories everyday, then day 6 you ate 2500 calories and day 7 you ate nothing (Water). You would still be in a deficit but I doubt you'd be down 1 lbs (I could be wrong). But is there a scientific way of explaining why this would or wouldn't work?

QUESTION 2:

If you are doing cardio 5 days a week at 30 minutes per session, would you burn more or less if you divided the sessions into 2x 15 minutes? From the little I know, a round of cardio will create a ********* reaction. Is there any reason to believe one is better than the other or if they are the same?

NOTE: I understand these may seem stupid but I've always wondered and wouldn't mind people explaining them to me in the most basic of ways. AND feel free to add your own stupid questions you've always wanted to ask on nutrition or related topics.

From conversations I have had, there is nothing magical or sacred about a 24 hour period. It is better to look at your TDEE over a 7 day period and base your caloric deficit over that time period.

As for timing the deficit all into one day or spreading it out over the week I would imagine that slow and steady wins the race.

I would be afraid that the body would enter into famine mode and start hoarding fat.

Yeah, even if it did work, I feel like garbage when I don't eat all day.

Even if I wait all day and eat one big meal.. I feel like garbage.

It's possible OP's idea is sound, technically.. but not practical for anyone really..

If we're using a highly anabolic compound, say... like Tren... would it keep us out of that "famine" state, or survival fat storing state I think you're describing? Then could a day of fasting ever be considered worth it? Hmmm...

Tren is already said to suppress thyroid function. I would think that would just make it worse.
