In what may become one of the most sought-after lifestyle drugs since the introduction of Pfizer’s (PFE) Viagra 14 years ago, new testosterone drugs are hot. Prescriptions for testosterone replacement therapies have more than doubled since 2010 to 8.6 million last year. Sales are expected to triple to $15 billion by 2017.

As many as 13.8 million men older than 45 in the U.S. have low levels of testosterone, according to a 208 study. The male sex hormone begins to decline after age 30, and tends to drop about 1 percent each year. Lower-than-normal levels can lead to a loss of libido, a decrease in bone and muscle mass, and depression.

Good, maybe instead of just tossing viagra at folks, they'll get their testosterone levels checked first! I'm still trying to talk my doctor into recognizing the fact that folks which come back with insulin resistance should have their hormones checked too. That would have saved me a TON of trouble years ago if I had known the correlation with a suppressed metabolism/insulin resistance with decreased levels of testosterone.

I still think cialis > viagra though.

you can go nuts with TRT...imo
