Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) effects on IGF-1 and Cholesterol?

TRT effects on IGF-1 and Cholesterol?

I just got tests back today and there are a couple of numbers I'm curious about.

#1. Does testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) have an effect on IGF-1 levels? My IGF came back high at 326 (69-226). This wasn't tested pre-TRT. Definitely not complaining about that, just curious.

#2. Is higher cholesterol a side effect of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? I thought it was but my cholesterol keeps dropping and now it is very low, maybe too low. Total is 98 and there is a note on the test that they retested it to verify since it was so low. MY HDL is 56 so that's good. I've read some concerning things about having too low cholesterol. It was 113 when I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and now it's even lower.

Everything else looks great.

I haven't tested IGF in a long time, although I have read that it can induce IGF release, so I can't speak on that with any certainty. But I can tell you that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) DOES decrease cholesterol. I totally recommend taking 2g of fish oil daily on top of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to help with HDL.
