Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) Issues

Will thanks for asking these questions! I'm about a month and a half in, now. Have a follow up with the doc tomorrow to see where my levels ended up on 100mg cyp a week. After reading your experience I'll definitely be checking my E2 out soon!
I did notice that things were great the first couple weeks, and then libido leveled off and tapered a bit following. I can only assume this is because of the shutdown of natty test. Not sure where he'll want to get me numbers wise, but I'm curious to see where 100mg actually put me. Its unfortunate that science hasn't come up with a study on average blood levels for a specific constant dose (100/week, 150/week, 200/week). Maybe I'll suggest it to him hahaha
Sadly this is where individual genetics come into play. What gives a guy like you a total test of 1000 would probably give me a total test of 400 lol. This is why I'm on a 250mg/wk dose. :p Definitely get those bloods done though! :)
I guess I just might be very sensitive to Estrogen. Prior to starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), my Estrogen was only 9, so I guess im naturally inclined to have lower E scores. I guess this elevated E, even though it isn't "through the roof" must be considered pretty high for someone like me.
This is VERY possible. I know a lot of guys that like to stay between 25-30, but if you're super sensitive, you might very well need your E2 at the bottom end. The big problem in my eyes is that low E2 and high E2 have such similar symptoms, it drives me nuts! The big difference being that low = joint pain, high = bloating. Whomever engineered the human body has a sick sense of humor. :p

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. If I was at 9 basline, and now im at 47, well that's almost 5 times the amount of Estradiol I'm used to having in my body! Damn Estrogen to hell! Lol

That's what I'm thinking. ;)
Don't go and get all emotional. :-)
Haha. Shortly before I went to my doctor and DEMANDED a testosterone blood test, I was at a movie with the wife and started bawling uncontrollably. I've never been an emotional guy and couldn't understand why on Earth this sappy scene was making me feel so sad. Turns out I had a hormone profile damn near identical to that of a 14 year old girl! Estrogen dominance is no joke, that's for sure! :p

There's no crying in Steroidology!

well guys....another very bad night of sleep. went to bed around 11:30 or so and tried to get up at 8, but i was so damn tired i had to sleep in til 10. Even then i felt very sluggish and unrested. It seems like it takes me a good hour or so to get to bed and then I wake up a bunch of times during the night tossing and turning the whole time. Im wondering how much my E2 levels are playing into this. Have any of you guys had similar sleep quality issues when your E was elevated? ive been on .50mgs every 5 days to help lower them a bit. im wondering if i should do .25 every 3 days instead. i have noticed that im not feeling as bloated lately, which is good, however, i gotta do something about my poor sleep and energy levels!!!!
note: ive only been taking arimidex for about 10 days now, so only about 1.5 mgs total so far.

Yep, E2 makes me sleepy as hell when it's high. Your suggestion of E3D isn't terrible and is worth a shot if you don't notice a decline in symptoms in a few more days.

I had problems sleeping before I started TRT. Once I started doing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) though I slept like a baby. When I had high estrogen I felt like I was dragging all day. But when I crashed my estrogen with too much Arimidex I HAD to take a three hour nap come 2PM every day. So yes -- having your estrogen too high or too low can really mess up your sleeping. Get a blood test done and see where you are at.

Mega....hey man, thanks for the advice. I did have my bloodwork done on April 30th, and got the results back on May 1st. My Estrogen went from 9 pre-trt to 47 in less than 2 months. So yes, my Estrogen has risen. Im working on trying to lower it. I added .50mgs Adex to my dosing protocol. Basically taking it the day after each cyp injection (every 5 days). I hope im taking enough!!!!! I do plan on getting more bloodwork done, but i did want to wait at least 3 weeks to see if the .50mg Adex every 5 days is helping to reduce it. Wouldnt you agree that I should probably give it about 3 weeks? That would put my Estrogen re-test date around May 21st or so.....

Now that you reminded me of all that I do recall you saying that. Sorry -- gets hard to keep everyone's story straight. One minute I am talking about estradiol and the next minute it is about zombies. :-)

I think you are probably taking plenty of arimidex -- maybe too much. Time will tell. And yes, three weeks sounds like a good time frame to let things settle in.

Hey guys, I just wanted to give an update on my situation. Im going in for labs on Monday morning. Gotta figure something out, because something is just not right with my protocol. I feel pretty much exactly like I did before I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in March. For about a month and a half, I was flying high, felt great, energy out the ass! Now, I feel tired all day, I dont sleep well, have bad anxiety again....all the damn same symptoms I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in the first place for. On May 1st, I found out my E had elevated to 47 from a pre-trt E of only 9(Estradiol Sensitive Assay). I started to take .50mgs of Adex the day after my cyp injection in hopes that it would help. My current protocol is 100cyp every 5 days, with 500iu Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) the day before the injection, and .50mg Adex the day after cyp injection. Im under the impression that my E has either remained the same or has possibly even risen. Any thoughts on whether it could be something else? I have read posts that this happens alot, and E is usually the culprit. Any suggestions on a new protocol? More/less hcG, more/less Cyp, more/less Adex, dosing schedule.....etc?

Honestly seems like an estrogen issue, however, from my experience a lot of those symptoms pertain to thyroid issues. Might want to get that checked out. Also, the mind is very powerful so try not to stress about it so much. Google can be your best friend or in some cases your worst enemy. I used to google all my symptoms and made myself stress so much more because these symptoms could be for a lot of things. Now, pop a Cialis and slay some ass and make yourself feel better. Cheers!!

You may have taken your E2 down too low. Or it could be too high. Unfortunately the symptoms of both often present in the same way. But given that the only change you have made (I think) was to add an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) indicates your E2 may be low. You are doing the right thing in getting a lab test. Hopefully you went for the E2 Sensitive assay so there is no doubt about your reading givenyour history. Keep us posted when you get the results.

rip and mega.....thanks for the input and re-assurance! Yeah, im pretty sure it has something to do with Estrogen. Mega....yes I am gonna do a full lab test this time, gonna check SHBG, Total Test, Free Test, Thryoid, and Estradiol Sensitive. To be honest, Im hoping I find out that my E is either too high or too low, although I would be willing to bet that it is still too high and hasnt moved much lower, if any, since my last lab. Although i have been dosing .50mg Adex, Ive only been doing it once every 5 days. If my E is anywhere over 35, I think I might increase my Adex to .50mg every 3 days. Either that, or start dosing .25mg eod.

hey guys....just wanted to give an update. I got my requisition papers from Private MD labs today. I will going to get labwork done 2morow morning. Im still feeling absolutely awful. Here is what we are gonna check:
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
SHBG
Testosterone, Free and Total
Triiodothryonnine, Free
Estradiol
Estradiol Sensitive
FSH
LH
TSH
Triiodothyronine T3
Thyroxine T4

Im still sort of hoping that my Estrogen is just too high. I wake up tired as hell, even after a solid 9hours of sleep, have horrible anxiety, and I have lost that feeling of well-being that I had. Please keep tabs on this thread, as Im sure I will be relying on you for guidance as soon as the results come in on Thursday or so.

i'm in the same boat as you. i believe i have low test because i dont look like a sharp man, like a real man, my facial hair grow like 2mm/week. i also have bad progress in gym. i'm 20 years old. been lifting pretty seriously for 5 years and i am 176cm/75kg with like i would say around 10-11% body fat. i could get my BF lower, not easy but i could, however i can not build muscle mass no matter what. My libido is not bad but also not throug the roof. if i watch porn i can get it up and enjoy pretty easily, also when i see a hot chick i think how i would bang her, but it's not that intense that i would get a boner or want to bang her really badly...i just let her pass :D
well enough of describing...i'm gonna do tests on monday, and i will post my results when i get them. i plan to test free test, total test and estradiol. for the first time to see where i am, i think it's enough...also don't have too much money in the bank acc :D

Sorry to bump an old thread, but did you ever find out the cause of your relapse of symptoms willnorthwest? I'm in the same boat, symptoms of fatigue, anxiety, etc coming back. Was like you and had severe acne as a kid, needing prescription meds, had lower E levels to begin with.
