the best workout to hit the lateral heaed of the tricep

always had trouble building the lateral head of the tricep... whats the best to hit it free weights only?....

current tricep workout

3 sets skull crushers
3 sets close grip bp
3 sets weighted dips.

its just not hiting the lateral head.. why?.
 
try changing ur grip spacing on skulls and close grip bench start shoulder width and bring grip in with each set but watch not too close or youll screw up ur wrist 6 inches is as close as i go and it seems to work well hope this helps
