The incredible, edible egg.

The egg has been a parish food for more than 30 years since
scientists discovered foods high in cholesterol promote heart
disease. Eggs are experiencing a renaissance because of their high
nutritional value. Egg whites are 90% water and contain seven
major proteins and no fat. Egg yolks are high in all of the B
vitamins as well as vitamins 1, D and E. An egg also contains 215
milligrams of cholesterol, chich is more than 80% of the total
recommended intake of 300 milligrams. Government agencies in the
United States and Britain say that eating eggs doesn't increase the
risk of heart disease. Eggs are one of nature's most nutritious
foods. Eat an omelet for dinner, but don't mix raw eggs in your
protein shake because of the danger of salmonella poisoning.

I read somewhere a while ago (while contemplating if raw eggs in pws was a good idea or not) that your chances of getting food poisoning is much greater from eating at mcdonalds at any given time than it is from eating raw eggs. Now there was, and I'm sure still is, and arguement as far as whether raw vs. cooked has more protien value, but im not gonna comment on that. I just know that unless you are a moron and eat an egg that comes out green, your chances of getting sick are very slim.

edit: chicken on the other hand, is nothing to fuck around with.
