pills and shakes? hmmm

this will be my first post on this forum with many questions, first i'm gonna get my self into a good diet habit to follow. I'm pretty hefty now i'm 6'5" 255lbs. and my body fat is about 30% :( i need to get that down. from what i've seen on this forum about 7 small meals a day does the trick to get metabolism flowin but what about those multi vitamin pills or shakes i hear about could you guys let me know what are some good things to add to a healthy diet.I'm 19 btw

Don't bother eating 7 small meals. That's stupid. Just eat fewer total calories throughout the day. If it takes 7 small meals for you to be able to handle so few calories, then whatever. But if you only eat 3 meals a day and you're still getting fewer calories, that's fine too.

All these people saying that 7 small meals a day will make a huge difference with your metabolism are being ignorant. Weighttraining and cardio will boost your metabolism far more than any "7 meals a day" bullshit will.

So, to recap: the secret to losing weight is to stop eating so much food and start exercising.
