Is it normal for a doctor to test you for testosterone right after he gives you a shot. by the research I've been doing it seems like it would better to test my levels before the shot tosee if I'm dipping too low in between shots. is this right or wrong

That would be unusual. Unless he's injecting no-ester testosterone IV (highly unlikely), there will no immediate effect from the shot.

Is it the first shot? That would really make no sense.

Otherwise, maybe he wants to measure the trough level and for some reason of convenience does the shot before the blood draw, with the understanding that the shot will take some time to affect blood levels.

Or (sadly) maybe he doesn't know what he's doing.

If he is literally doing it right after your scheduled injection he is trying to get a trough result.

So do you not do self-injections at home?

the doctors protocol is 200 milligrams of testosterone C every two weeks and I go in for injections at the doctor I was complaining about the ups and downs week to week and wanted to go to one shot a week at 100 miligrams he said that was a bodybuilding plan not trt and said no he also said 200 every 2 weeks is a high dose for trt and he was doing bloodwork to reassess the dosage

I had to deal with a doc who put me on a this exact protocol. It was a complete waste of time and money. Find a new doc or bring in some reading for your current doc as he obviously doesn't know what he is doing.
