Tough Mudder

I am Doing the Tough Mudder with 6 of my guy friends here in NorCal on Sep 29th.

We run 3 times a week and also incorporate hill training.

Our's is 12 miles long so we are training to run 16-18 miles... that way we have the energy and endurance to complete it. This will be my first Tough Mudder ever, I am scared shitless but I know I will be one happy Girl once I complete it and can brag to all my boys that were too chicken shit to do it. That I had enough balls to do it... LOL.

Sometimes it sucks being a Tomboy BC I always have to prove the boys wrong, that I am not some weak lil B**** :)

Doesn't matter how long it takes you to finish...just finish it! You can do it bro! (unless you're paralyzed or something!)

I was planning to do it but the local run is going to hit me during the thick of my steroid cycle. 12 miles worth of cardio and steroids don't play nice with me.

We start training together in April after the snow is gone (if it ever comes lol)...

I'm going to have to seriously re-think my workouts.

Ugh some dumbass kid I work with can't stop talking about this. He eggs on everyone else to try cause he thinks he's bad ass cause when he does finally make it to the gym he uses low weight assisted machines the whole time. I wish I could run flat land to enter it but my knees disagree.

I am doing a half marathon in March, Survivor Mud Run in April, than another half marathon in May, then the Tough Mudder in Sep

Its the main reason I have been getting back in shape. Me and my buddy are doing it this year, I been planning on it since last year.

I did the tough mudder here in colorado back in 2010. It sucked ass, we started at an elevation of 9,400 feet above sea level. It was in Vail, Colorado at one of the ski resorts so the route we ran was all up hill the whole time. We climbed all the way up to something like 12,000 feet above sea level. All in all it was the worst ten miles I have ever done. The water obstacles were 34 degrees, it was so cold I thought I might have a heart attack, hell they were briefing people who had heart conditions to not get in the water. I did it with a group of guys I work with. We had all just gotten back from Iraq and thought it would be a fun thing to do before people started moving to new places. I can honestly say I would not really want to do it again, especially in Colorado, the elevation is a mofo. But I think that if I were to do it down at sea level, it would not be nearly as bad. Good luck guys! If you have any questions about it feel free to hit me up
