i would like to know if the 5x5 routine would be best for gaining mass or would a straight 3 sets of 8-10 be better.
i have heard that big weight low rep is for strength if that is true and im not looking to see how much i can lift and just want to build muscle shouldnt i do lighter weight higher reps for building mass?
some ppl are saying that they are only training 3 days a week is that right or did i just read it wrong?
im looking to change up my routine does this look like a good way to split?

monday
chest

tuesday
back

wednesday
day off

thursday
biceps & triceps

friday
quads, hamstrings, calves & glutes

saturday
shoulders & traps

sunday
day off

should i be doing 3 sets of 8-10 for every workout i do or should i be changing the reps/sets for diffrent muscles was told by a friend to do 3 sets of 20 when doing my claves is that true? if so are their other muscles i should do that with?

thankyou for any feedback

If your natural, and you sould be at this point, 3-5 days a week is optimal. As far as reps go, just make sure your using proper form and go as heavy as you can. A mixed rep range is best for development IMO. Lower reps will help increase your strength on the higher reps, which in turn help you get bigger muscles. I wouldn't go higher than 10-12 reps for most body parts. Calfs are generally trained with higher reps.
