Training while sick?

depends how bad Im feeling, if its just a runny nose I got during the day then yes. But if Iv been sick for a few days consecutivly or am really sick then I take it home. I tried training through a sickness a few times and it just made it worse. IMO you need to recover, going to the gm will not even help you hold on to your muscle, itll probably eat away at more.

No way. I'll go to work sick but not to the gym. Your immune system needs time to fight it off. By going to the gym it's focus is split between muscle repair and your infection.

Rest, rest and more rest........

I've always heard that it's okay if it is just in your head. If it has moved into your chest or causes body aches, then you should take the time off to get well. At that point, eating right and getting enough sleep is probably the best thing you can do. It's no fun breaking up your routine, but it probably will not result in any real setback anyway (as long as you're not sick all the time). No offense, but nobody wants you in their gym spreading your germs in the first place.
